FX FX Impact M3 .30 noise level

Hello everyone!

I currently have a fx impact m3 in 30 caliber with the donnyfl moderator.

It’s an amazing gun but not as quiet as I had hoped. Im considering buying a marauder in .22 as I’ve heard they are fairly quiet, but I figured I’d see if anyone has shot both of these rifles and can give me a real world assessment on noise levels between the 2?

Apples and Unicorns. The Impact being a high fpe platform, plus a 30Cal will always be louder than a low fpe 22Cal with a full shroud. If you want a 22Cal I would buy a barrel kit for your Impact. My 500mm Compact M3 is pretty darn quiet with a Sumo on it.

I own the m3 in .22 600mm barrel with fx factory moderator on it and in my opinion the pellet trap at 55yards is louder than the report. How its tuned makes a difference too. I never owned a Marauder but have heard they are quiet.

Two totally different guns but we have a 22 marauder and a 25 m3 and the m3 is way louder.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I wasn’t very clear originally. I realize the guns are not similar. I’m not trying to compare them aside from how loud they are.

I think all the replies were specifically in reference to the noise lol. The MRod is going to be a lot quieter, and we listed reasons as to why it will be quieter.

If you want it to be crazy quiet get a sto high flow sarissa

Get ourself a donnyfl emperor or ronin with the externsion tube.
I got the ronin with the externsion tube on my MK2 .35. Not as quiet as my Uragan King .30 with the emperor moderator with tube..
