Fx impact M3 700mm Blast of air to the face

Ok so i just checked exactly where the air is coming from. It is coming from where the probe goes into the barrel. I also placed a piece of blue tape where the other post says to check and there is no air coming from there. It could be that the O-ring is damaged but cannot be seen with the naked eye. I'm pretty good with taking things apart and working on them. I play around with remote controlled cars electric and nitro powered and have a good set of tools for such things. I do however agree that I should not have to take apart a $2200 item after only having it for 5 days. Forgot to mention that when the bolt is closed there is about a 1mm gap between the bolt face and the frame/receiver. I don't know if that is normal or not.
Peter, DM me with your address and I will send you the O-rings you need.

He shot the gun with the bolt open and most likely just blew the breech o-ring out. It happens.
Didn’t some other users say it might be the O ring on the valve? And that he might have to disassemble the gun? I understand the breech O ring would be a simple fix. Maybe the OP will chime in with his solution…

Yeah someone said IF it's coming out the valve area it might need to be. Check post #17 he says it's coming out the probe area. I know you're trying to be "helpful" But keep in mind this was all started by the gun being shot with the cocking arm back. (See post #5)
I doubt you'd have the same attitude if it was the ghost and this happened is all I'm saying. Who knows? Might very well do the exact same thing.................time......will........tell...........

@Glem.Chally, I’m not attacking. And have in fact accidentally fire all three of my Brococks with the probe not all the way in. Luckily I had no issues with the breech Orings. I would honestly report the shortcomings of any of my PCPs.
Neat, none of which share the same cocking style that the impact and ghost share. We're talking about the impact here for example, a gun that if shot with the breech open can blow out a 2c oring. It happens and it's not a big deal.

I"m going to hazard a guess here and only a guess because... I idon't have your particular FX, but the probe should go well into the chamber past the o-ring. Sounds like something moved on you, if I"m reading your reply correctly.

I thought the OP may have been referring to the annular gap between the probe outside diameter and the bolt block. I believe that is because the bolt block is sized for probes up to 25 caliber or larger and there just happens to be a gap.

It hadn't occurred to me that he might be talking about the bolt/probe not going all the way forward. We'll find out when he gets a good look at the breech.

I think part of the problems that arise with tech discussions like these is the use of improper description of part names, which can make it hard for an fx aficionado to help diagnose. It would be helpful if new fx owners would download the parts diagrams and call out the correct names for parts as it’ll help a bunch.

Not saying it happened on this particular thread but I’m throwing it out there as advice to newbies. Perfect example is just recently I’ve seen the talks about hammer replacements when really it should’ve been hammer “weights” being talked about.

Or we could go the route of “ the chingas pushed into the brass doo hickey watchamacallit, and the cocking grip thing flew back…..”

When I said that there is a small gap, I was referring to the metal part that slides on the barrel and is right in front of the operating handle and says M3 on it.
Pyramid air said its probably the breech oring but to contact fx and speak with them if that doesn't fit the issue, or to contact them if I need to return it. I'm going to the hardware store and buy an oring and replace it and see what happens. I'll keep you all updated.
