FX Impact M3 Air-Stripper for the Tuning Shroud

I decided I need to make a Air Stripper for my M3.
It will be retrofitted to the Tuning shroud on my 800mm barrel assembly
With a little Stainless Steel and Brass.... This what I came up with...

Here is the boring of the brass air stripper on my lathe

The Stainless Steel adapter will replace the standard thread adapter that comes with the Tuning Shroud.
It is thread on both ends.... 14mmx1mm and 1/2"x20.
The brass stripper has a 3° taper...
Also the threaded adapter is drilled and tapped for 3 #4x40 grub screws on the 14mm end. So I can adjust the distance of the Air Stripper from the muzzle...

Another area I had to address.... the Muzzle/crown area.
I have never like how the crown was below the surface of the barrel securing "nut"
So I turn down the muzzle by .025" for first .125" of the barrel.

Also I touched up the crown with my Mason Crowning tool

So Now the Crown of the Barrel is about .010" above the end of the barrel nut...

Of course I had to shorten the Carbon fiber stiffening liner and my Tension tube!!
Now comes the fun...tuning and testing.........

Merry Xmas to All...
