FX FX Impact M3, clean and polish internals?

See if FX USA will just send you a reg or install a bypass.

Thanks dear for tge suggestion. This by pass is quiet reasonably priced. Have any one used this. Does this also have leak problems.

Funny how a few folks are deleting their first reg and guys like me with MK2’s opted for a first stage reg so I installed huma’s first stage reg for the MK1 and two’s. Came very highly suggested from an AGN member who I consider to be well versed on the impact platform, and I’m glad I invested on the mod for both my 30 cal impacts. From 250 down to reg pressure the shots stay steady, in whereas before the first few shots after a fill just felt too fast or loud, and towards the second reg setting of 135 even though my speeds were there, the shots felt like they were petering out.

It complimented the fx brass piston as my plenum recharge rate is really quick now. When at RMAC this year right when the range master said to start shooting I took two quick dry fires and every shot from then on out was steady as long as I did my part with the wind. It truly is hard to explain, but I can tell the difference with that first reg in place

In my 30 cal, I shot nearly four complete mags, actually around 80 shots including sighters, and when done my fill pressure gage read only 210 bar.

So do you suggest not to use the m3 first regulator bypass?

I myself if it were my M3 I’d keep it on. About the only time one would get rid of it is if he were chasing high high power where the second reg was in excess of 160-170 bar. Then setting the first reg for the 40 bar difference that fx suggests would put you at 210 bar, and a 250 fill? Yeah so not really needed. My second reg on my 30 cal is at 135, so I actually have a 65 bar difference.

200 bar of pressure is still better than 250 bar against the second reg, but I get fast recovery w/o the pressure spikes and wear on my second reg.

To each their own on this, for sure. All depends on your tuning goals

Thanks.
What I have done is attached an externally Adjustable inline regulator with my scuba which gives me a regulated air.
Then I shud not be worried I hope. What do u say?

That’s just meant for shooting while tethered to your tank, and benefits of shooting tethered is less air wasted from the bleed after top off process, and it allows you to have longer, uninterrupted shooting sessions. That is all. It is not meant to fix, patch, or help the first stage reg on dual reg’d guns.

Get your impact tuned to your liking first, and for those fun days out in the prairie target shooting then tether up to the gun.

Oh, there is a third benefit to shooting while tethered and that pertains to non regulated guns. Tethering to a tank allows one to find the sweet spot of pressure where the gun shoots the best at. An example is one of my non reg’d guns is a factory fill of 3,625 psi, but I see it shoots the most accurate at 3400 psi, and at a certain speed, so that’s what I fill the gun to.

While shooting thru a chronograph while target shooting, I was able to find both the fill pressure sweet spot and the speed the gun likes best without the hassle of topping off and bleeding after so many shots.

Huma makes a nice tethering regulator but if you truly want a tool less, true uninterrupted tethering while shooting, check out the tethering regs at Airtanksplus.com. No need to disconnect the fill system to adjust for different pressures, just dial a knob.

Of course, these are one of those you get what you pay for 😃👍
