FX Fx impact m3 stock hammer

Seems I have heard 140-150 bar. Sure others more versed will chime in. Your projectile weight and caliber play a role as well. Heavier creates even a bit more back pressure at a given reg pressure thus needing more hammer strike to open the valve long enough to propel it. There isn’t an absolute answer I believe.

Depends on what caliber you bought and what fx had left in their shelves to get rid of. Mine(22 early m3, pre power block) had a stainless hammer weight (6g?) and it took too much spring at 150 bar for my liking, but it worked. I put a tungsten in there and that's a bit too heavy, I definetly recommend something in the middle and not chasing 40 grain slugs.... Which disappeared from pupularity like 800mm barrels once dubber stopped pimping those parts.

A friend of mine and I experienced issues with the stock hammer in a .22 cal 700mm FX Impact. Above 120 bar, it struggled to open the valve properly, resulting in velocity loss.

Switching to the lighter Huma hammer solved the problem.
Me too, it would do it but not with any consistency for velocity so I went heavier weight with less spring tension. 50 fpe is my lowest allowable setting at 150 bar now. In 22.

Thanks everyone. My impact is in 25 cal. with a 700mm barrel. My 2nd regulator is set at 130 bar and I'm using a 7.5 gram hammer with the spring that comes with the huma tuning set. I don't seem to have much adjustable range. I'm thinking I have too much hammer or spring. I'm trying to shoot ammo in the mid 30 gr. range.
Remove the hammer spring from Huma. That is too much.

I tried it aswell, lightest Huma hammer and Huma spring and I was not able to adjust my hammer properly.

Just use the lightest hammer from Huma, that is enough for 130 bar

I too made this mistake the first time and it made for an odd feeling and violent shot sequence.

I recommend a 15 gram hammer, stock spring 150 bar. I'm. Currently running the super heavy tungsten hammer weight and stock spring with 150 bar and it's just at the bottom of its tuning window on my 700mm 22 m3. The differences between models are minimal.
