FX fx impact m4 first 10 shots are slow

Are the DRS, and Panthera prone to these same problems?
My DRS had it but it was because of creep. 8-9 bar creep from factory.

Removed and cleaned the reg and it only creeps 2-3 bar now which seems normal. Temperature changes, …

Once I removed and cleaned up the regulator, I adjusted the hammer to tune the slower shot out.

I think they have a version of this problem as well. I was actually planning on getting a DRS or Panthera because I thought the problem was less. But then Gerhard even confirmed in his newest video having this issue with his DRS. He documents it in the video showing how far off the first 3 shots are after letting the rifle sit for 10 minutes or so. So he explains that he must purge those 3 shots. I was thinking this wasn’t a thing anymore with all of them being used so successfully in PRS type competitions.

For most of my shooting, this isn’t a big deal and I think I have been trained by many previous rifles that I should always purge 2-3 shots anyway. So this shouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. But knowing this sucks in a hunting situation and seeing how many other rifles don’t have this issue, I decided this time to pass on the FX and again try something different.

That video made me laugh honestly. I got my DRS cured and I can leave it now for a week or more without waking it up

Nice!! Just out of curiosity, why’d you pick Vulcan over Uragan?
now that i seen one in person and got to cradle it its very comfy and compact my Buddie just got his last week
i said bring that thing over here already will ya..lol
his has a laminate stock compact the grip is comfortable feels good in your hands
tell you what that 30 cal has a wallop at 100yds and is very accurate as well
only thing is this slight Ping noise when fired is that the nature of the beast?
i can live with it

took the M4 apart a little while ago due to the warmup period decided to haunt me today.
I'm thinking that little o ring is too soft of a compound as the rod does not glide smoothly more so ratchety then smooth.
i also see where the rubber is sticking and soon will cause galling.
is what it is, this is why i ordered that plenum tube with the new design
in the meantime, i have to find a fix until that comes
does anyone make these rods in stainless or titanium? better o ring? NADA.
also found the hammer spring has some flat spots on the spring from rubbing that will also need to be addressed.
you would never know this by shooting the gun though.

Do you have a link to the video? I like binge watching videos on guns I might be interested in.

A

Friend of mine just transitioned from the FX M3 to the AGT Vulcan...... He is now wondering why in hell he ever went down the FX route !!
I’m slowly in the purging process also. Just acquired my second Uragan. Haven’t clicked the scope on my first one since August when I dialed it in. It’s a miniature firearm. Hope to achieve that status with the second one.
