FX FX IMPACT M4 SNIPER PELLETS & SLUGS .25 cal

You will be just fine with the 1:18 and some hefty slugs. Mine has been great up to 38.5g Nielsens (heaviest I have bought so far) and probably will do better with even heavier slugs but I havent had to try them. The mid 30s Nielsens are fantastic and still have a great BC.
i also got AEA 30g and 33g slugs 29g pellet and 25g pellet awaiting my Neilson 29g slugs as well
going to do some more strings today maybe bump the reg up to 125-130 to get mid 900s

Good to know the 1:18 is ok ,I will most likely be ordering one in the near future as I to will be sticking with the 34grain JSB or 33grain Zan slugs which I have been informed shoot very well .its a learning curve but keeps you on your toes , what does anyone think the reg pressure should be set at as general opinion is towards the 150bar from some dedicated slug shooters .I am currently set at 130 and getting 880fps with the JSB 34 grain

My 700mm Impact MK2 with lots of mods does ~1005-1050fps with Nielsen 34.9g at a 150-155Bar reg. It has room to go faster but I like my setups to be at comfortable tunes to keep them in good shape for the long haul. Im using a Huma hammer weight and spring for a little more hammer strike, but still pretty mild.

My good friend has a built Impact M3 with the same 700mm Heavy 1:18 Liner I have, and he runs about 170-175Bar to get the H&N Heavy slugs at ~1060fps. I cant remember if he has 44g or 46g slugs, but we got his rifle to be in the 1moa or just under range. Single Huma High Pressure reg setups are kinda the key to run these higher settings.

Well I think I found a small issue with the zan slugs
Seem to be a little bigger
Than the hybrids from fx
Also indexed the liner while installing the CF liner sleeve

Ran some jb through the choke of the barrel took the high spots down
As the pellets were getting grooved just as bad
Here is an after photo of a pellet pushed threw after
Doing the barrel pushes smooth now and very little hint of the barrel
Did this to my 380mm barrel for the notos as they was just as bad
Shot 2 groups of 12 on the 3rd group went from 3/4 down to a dime crono battery died so no other adjustments
But very happy with the poi now
Also didn't know there is an active air stripper Inside the shroud now I see why the mod is empty

Hi David, I'm just wondering how you're getting on tuning now. Have you upgraded the liner? Do you think you will be upgrading the hammer, too? I have been looking at the Tungsten hammer, which is around £80 online. i was out with the 26.5gr slugs last weekend but didn't have much success at 970fps.

The pellets are awesome. Any and all of my guns love them and the outperform JSB by a mile. The slugs though?! I can’t get them to shoot straight. What speed are you running them (I shoot them out of a .25 impact 700mm)? I ran them from 930 up to 1000fps and nothing… 1:16 slug liner.
It's those pesky air molecules, the ones you probably have too many of. Back off of the valve dwell / opening until things settle down. I believe, and I'm just going off of my last reading on my Mav. VP...I think...974 - 1040 It MAY have been my JSAR Raptor, I just grab a profile and shoot when I'm tuning. Anyway FAST is good, air is bad. I interchange the pellets and slugs with each other so my numbers are a jumble, like my mind. We have some wet stuff on the way so my shooting will be minimized. IF I get a chance today, I'll break out the Mav .25 VP and see what it does but we're supposed to have wet stuff for a week and the wife won't let me shoot in the house, how unreasonable can you get?

Hahaha gotcha, thanks!! Maybe I’ll send them a bit faster but if you could let me know at what speed they’re working for you that’d be awesome (once it’s dry again or your wife is seeing reason ;) - love the fact that I can shoot 40 to 50 and 75y out of my basement window).
