FX Impact manuf date from serial #?

I don't know, but imagine this.... I did some power upgrades and btw I replaced the RearBlock as well (because I didn't wanted to re-machine the original part on the gun), and turns out that there is the SN laser etched.

FYI, just telling you that chasing the SN may not make much sense to a new buyer. You better look into what parts are installed there.

I cannot help, I got my Feb.2020 and did the upgrades myself several months later when the new parts surfaced.

I'm looking to buy an FX Impact Mk II that I'm told was manufactured this year. The serial number begins with "212xxxx". Does that mean it was manufactured in February 2021?

It doesn't mean that, they're just sequential numbers. 212, would be a late MK2 so it would have the power plenum installed at the factory. I have 2 that are 190, and they are the very early mk2.

Long story short I'd say it makes sense that it's a middle-late mk2 with PP.

I'm pretty sure the guy is lying. He said that the first two digits of the serial number are the year of manufacture and so this rifle was made in 2021, and because of that it has almost 2 1/2 years left on it's 3 year warranty. I'm calling that B.S. The FX website says the three year warranty starts on the day that it was first sold and that the warranty is transferable only if the original receipt is presented.

And this guy works for one of FX's number one dealers... kinda spoils the whole experience of buying my first FX.

I would suggest you forget that number (or call FX if you wish to proceed with bad dreams).

My Impact arrived early spring 2020 with a Rear Block 1934xx (6 digits) and I replaced the re-machined ported Rear Block late winter 2020 with 0103xxx (7 digits, but the block was dusty and the anodizing dried out so I assumed it was sitting on the shelf for some time an a service).

What this number means to me? or if I would want to sell the Impact? IDGaS
