FX Impact/Maverick Compact or Brocock Ghost??

I own a Brocock and 2 FX’s. My FX’s are an M3, and a Wildcat, and my Brocock is an Atomic so I can’t say exactly for the Maverick and the Ghost, but my 2 cents is this…. The M3 is my least favorite the barrel is too delicate, have to baby the M3, and have problems with slow first shot. The Brocock is solid, seems slightly on the heavy side for a small gun, but that is because it is so well built. I don’t know about the Ghost, but would suspect the same build quality. My order of choice would be.
1. BRK Ghost
2. FX Maverick
3. FX Impact

@Redtick12, I like your “order of choice”. I would love to get my hands on a BRK Ghost... @Franklink, has gone really deep into the platform and is showing, literally, that it is a solid PCP. @Centercut and @zx10wall also believe it to be a solid platform. Those three gents have a lot of cumulative knowledge and are competitors. So I’m definitely interested…

I would go with the Ghost… and will.

Would love to get my hands on a .22 BRK Ghost

If anyone is still unsure let me make this perfectly clear, Luis would go with the Ghost.

Does the Ghost share the same design as the Delta Wolf in regard to the barrel single grub screw as discussed in this thread?

Yes, shared design. Although I can't figure out why those guys are having that trouble.

There is only one grub screw, but there are 3 orings supporting the barrel within the chassis, two small ones at the rear and a large one at the front.

I shot the .177 BRK Ghost in a field target match and scored a 47/48, missing one kneeling shot that was NOT the guns fault. Impact point stayed the same from my house, 2hr drive to the match, with camping gear piled high on it in the back seat (in the case of course) , came out of the case the next morning, into and out of my carry cradle 15 or more times (one of which I snagged the barrel with the rope handles and gave the gun a heck of a yank). Anyway, all said and done it maintained it's point of impact through all that like a champ.

Haven't yet played with it on targets enough in the .22 configuration to have any data with that barrel/at high power.

It does and the barrel is well supported. I've been testing the DW for more than 2 years and the Ghost for around 4 months. I've used the DW with 177 barrel for a good number of matches and firmly believe that any problems have been the trigger puller. I'm investigating Scott's findings but can tell you that so far, I've found no issue with the support and can only try my best to verify... good or bad. We did find that the shroud collar needed clearance for the frame to expand freely but that was covered way back. My groups with QYS, JSB, and Norma rarely are as large as what Scott posted and no barrel clamp.
I believe Scott and the results he's getting but they have not been typical in any I've worked on. I will update as info becomes available.

Scott’s gun came as a .25, and I don’t think it had those issues. He got a .177 short barrel kit with it and that’s what he’s talking about. I don’t remember him saying that he adjusted the breech to connector gap in the .177. That could be the issue in POI shifts if it is tight against the breech.

To clarify, I was made aware of the importance of that gap and that that was one of the first things I did when I got the Ghost. So the results I reported above were WITH the "business card gap" between the frame/chassis and the rear shroud cap.
