FX Impact mk2 extended rail options

OK , so I'm way late for this train. I was looking into the rail extenders for allowing the bipod placement to be more forward on the gun obviously. I have seen the rail extender by saber tactical , which has picatinny along it's entire length. another was a K&L version that had the fill port guard , and the 3rd was a gen 2 ARCA / Picatinny rail with the tripod mount hole. Just what exactly are the advantages and limits of each , since they are all about the same price. thanks

Picatinny rails are great for attaching all sorts of cool stuff to your gun bi-pods, flashlight lasers ect...

Arca rails are to the camera world what the Picatinny rails are to the gun world.

Picatinny rail for the bi-pod

Arca rail for the tripod right

Arca rail for the tripod left.

A closer look at the K&L Picatinny Trigger Guard Replacement Arca Rail. It has a T-Rail so you can slide an Arca Rail Adapter right on and have the best of both worlds.

This is the Gen 2 model I like it because you can get the Arca rail set back further as it balances the gun on a tripod much better. This is a big plus for tripod mounting.

Near the opposite is true for bi-pods as you want to mount them forward near as far as you can get them.

Hopefully this will give you some kind of an idea when you look at the others what their limits might be.

The K&L and Saber Tactical units are all very nice from what I can tell. Some of the units will balance on a tripod better and others will handle a bi-pod better.

Here is the latest by Stephen at Kraford and Lypt; The Arca Swiss portion is the full length and the front 1/3rd has a removable picatinny t-rail section that can be slid forward or back. It’s also a bit longer for better stability with a bipod. It also has the spring loaded, removable fill cover you mentioned. It really is a great rail. I’ve tested all of them by K&L and this is my favorite.

Have a good one. Stoti

Whatever you chose K&L or SABER go with ARCA rail, you mounting bipod all the way in the front so rest of the picatinny rail is unusable anyway, also watch some YT videos and notice how picatynny rail is flexing no such of thing with ARCA just more solid piece and more comfortable for offhand shooting.
I went with SABER, but latest from K&L that Stoti showed looks promising to.
