Tuning FX Impact Mk2/M3 - slower first shot - no reg creep - quasi-scientific analysis

...which equates to a standard size -104.

However, you may want to go back to Seeker’s reply #48 and my subsequent reply #50 because I think the size is a -006.
If you look at the M3 exploded View for the plenum of the 720 that's what number I came up with also there were dimensions different also for the washer I made I'm thinking that he made his for mk2 plenum and not the M3 I don't though for sure I'll give the 104 a try thanks guys

That's the size difference the brown viton is 006 it fits inside the black o-ring that's supposed to hold it in place do u think I need to order 004 viton ?

1/8”ID x 5/16”OD x 3/32”CS………This IS what you need. I used them in both of my MKll’s and both of my M3’s.
-104 it is is then.
I ordered some 004 size for it so you have used both 006 and a 004 and they both sealed up fine in M3 plenum ?
Not -004. Rather -104.

So has this issue been sorted out? All these YouTube videos that are being put out about the fx air guns are only showing the good things about it, how accurate it is and the best air gun that fx has put out, is all hype. There not showing you the problems, and there are many the fx has. I got an air arms s510 over 5 years ago and it is dead nuts accurate today as it was the first day I received it, does not leak air and I can leave it sitting all aired up, take it out and shoot it 11 months later, and it is still dead nuts accurate from the first shot, (to me the air arms is far more superior) you don’t have to fire several shots into the ground and then go hunting. If I would have known this I would have never got an fx. A worde of advice, if you don’t like to tinker with stuff stay away from the fx impact and the like. The maverick may de a different story I am checking on that, be warned people.

Almost everything comes at a cost or trade off. The gun is capable of way more than your Air Arms but it does come at a cost. Guns that can match or exceed an Impact come at a cost also. But it’s monetary. The clueless go big or go home starry eyed video watcher probably will get caught off guard with an Impact. But there is another group, some you’ve heard from in this topic, that know what we need and what we are going to have to deal with. It’s not the best gun for some guys and just a little frustrating at times for the rest of us.

yes for sure, I have an fx impact m3 compact and I have it shooting almost dime size groups at 50 yards. I did my own tunes d am happy with the results. I get frustrated when reading this article, because I have this problem also, first 3 shots or so way to the left 6 inches or more and then it will tighten up. I like working on things to make it better. Before reading this post you do not hear much if any about the bad, sure you have people talking about air leaking and replacing o rings, and I think people need to be made aware of the fact that there are issues with the platform. Maybe one of these days I will go out back and pop off a few shots before I go see if there are any squirrels around. O’well.

The info is out there. The guy with a $2k vacancy on his credit card doesn’t know enough about the gun to read the important topics about it. He’s attracted to all the fluff and 100 yard shooting bumblebee nonsense. It’s called smart marketing. This topic sat dormant with very few views, meanwhile at the exact same time that idiotic M3 Tunes Here topic actually had smoke coming off it because of how many clueless guys were reading it hoping for some magic numbers. Meanwhile they can’t hit squat with their first six shots or get head scratching chronograph numbers that have them really chasing magic numbers. It’s comical.

I am pretty sure FX is listening and they are tracking users feedback. How the EAD goes (engineering approved deviation) against the production? That must be driven by number of complains.
A "Problem" described in this thread is more a problem for you then for me. Honestly back in time I missed this thread for several weeks and bounced in by coincidence only.
What is the average number / year users complaining for dis and dat? Is a complain justified for warranty repair or replacement? If there would be a "decent n umber" of replaced parts I am sure that would trigger a Design Change. Or maybe a next model will have totally different internals.
But again we are not in same boat, I am shooting and scoring rings only from a high powerstroke machine, and my first several shots are calculated waste of air only.
