Fx impact mk2 or the delta wolf

Hi all.

I have used a Daystate redwolf in .25 calibre for the last year or so and fitted it with a helliboard so as to tune it better for slugs and pellets and it shoots lights out but...its to nice a weapon for the farm so i have decided to buy another rifle to hunt/ pest control with in the same calibre but i am stuck on what to get.

Cost aside i am debating on either the time served and proven fx impact mk 2 or the new and untested daystate delta wolf.

What are your thoughts ? The delta wolf seems to have plenty of features and a easier tuning method than the impact but as of yet not proven!

To soon to tell - I would wait for the Delta Wolf to get into the hands of actual users and what it actually delivers, what the pros and cons are, etc. before making the decision. I have a couple of MkII Impacts and plan on enjoying them until the DW gets sorted out before forking over my $3000 for it.

Everyone has an impact. I think you need to buy the Delta and then tell all of us about it. Can you actually buy a Delta Wolf now? Some one has to go first. I’ve done my fair share of that with the compressors . Some one else needs to fork over the money

Here in the united kingdom the sub 12ftlb models have just been delivered to those who have placed orders back in march , as far as i know the high power firearms certificate rated weapons are yet to arrive

If you buy the Impact have Ken Hicks SPAW give it a go through for you. You be real happy.

Spaw has Impacts now or I saw it the other day. Delta Wolf maybe next spring. Cost $2200 for Impact $3200 for DW. Each should be tunable for your need. You will need to make the choice. The Impact should have way more Orings.

The last Ken Hicks 25 Impact still kicking dead nuts accurate with 25.39gr JSBs straight out of the tins...

Redwolfs and Pulsars so far no issues here can't comment on the Delta but preordered a 22 and 25 since I just HAVE TO have them.

Easy. If you aren’t on the preorder list for delivery by December, it will probably be March/April, so get the Impact now from Ken and shoot it until April when you can pick up the DW.

I would go Daystate. If anything wrong it has 5 years warranty.

I would recommend buying both. No matter if one goes down (under warranty) you always have something nice to shoot.

Will they have barrels suited for heavier slugs? Has the Redwolf been easy to tune in .22 for the 26 to 34 grainers?
If it will accurately shoot the heavier slugs, I would love to own both it and the Impact, which I very recently purchased.

Yes i believe the DW has a similar ART barrel that has been fitted to previous daystates , my RW is in .25 cal and needed to be fitted with a helliboard to increase the velocity to whats needed for slugs , as far as .22 is concerned i have no experience with a RW, but there would be plenty on here who have

If I had the money it would be the delta wolf without a doubt ! We are not sure of the reliability or any thing with them. But we are aware of those issues with fx. I don’t think it could be any worse. Five year warranty is better, if it does have any. I would love to shoot a DW, but personally really have no use for one. Can’t wait to see the reviews on these !

AOA is just started to get them in last month . And they told me since I pre-ordered it in October of last year I should be getting a call around May or June . If everyone keeps there pre-ordered agreements if not it could be sooner .

Well I do not have a Impact because I'm a southpaw and FX doesn't make them for me . So I'm going to have get the DDW they do have it one for southpaws Hallelujah can I get an amen . Once I get the DDW then I will give y'all a full report on what I think about it . Now since I'm a southpaw I cannot compare it to the FX impact . But I can tell you what I think about the DDW .
