Fx impact mk2 or the delta wolf

I wonder what the thoughts are, now, two years later.
It was a new concept then, and lots of newness, unknowns, and adjustments to the first release

What’s the thoughts now
Well i had the Delta wolf and it was a problem rifle, lots of stuff went wrong and i just couldnt get it tuned for slugs, pellets fine but just not slugs, in the end i got a refund and bought a .25 M3, its been nearly two years and things so far have been fine.

I’ve stopped buying new rifles for the first 6-12 months for that reason. I feel like it takes them some time to work the bugs out. The Delta is great today but I saw a few issues on release. I’d rather let someone else be the tester.

That’s great. Thanks for the feedback either way.
And this is a concern of mine that people seem to sway the way of the FX Impact when it comes to slugs

I guess that’s my whole point. Knowing what we know now, what are peoples thoughts on the Alpha Wolf versus the Impact?
I want to be able to fire benchrest at the range 50, 100, 100+
But to also be able to fire slugs accurately when needed, and have a pest rifle also..

I own a .25 Delta Wolf and it’s been solid. I haven’t shot an M3 so I can’t compare. I like the trigger on the Delta better than the Impact MK2 I shot previously. I think @Centercut might have experience with both.

Yes. Pellets DW. Slugs M3 or Panther. Trigger in DW or RW is better than any FX gun. So much better, even after you spend a lot of time tweaking your FX that when you shoot the DW/AW/RW and go back to your FX you initially think something is wrong with it.

But wait, there’s more. I have heard from reliable (but unnamed ) sources that Daystate will release some longer than 600mm barrels for their electronic platforms that are MADE to shoot slugs in the not too distant future…. 😎

Thanks for the feedback. So, for now at least, if the AW/DF is better for pellets, what would you say they are accurate with pellets to what max distance?
I know there’s a lot to factor like wind, scope etc but just a rough ballpark is fine

That’s great to hear a slug liner will be developed soon…possibly as that’s the hold off point for me right now

Accurate with pellets out to about 125 yards for ground squirrels and rabbits.

Would these longer barrels be good for pellets too? Or would you need alternate barrels?

Centercut, you just made my day! Possibly a new slug liner for the Delta Wolf?...I prefer to shoot my DW over my Impact, however it does get under my skin only shooting pellets out of it. It's odd this thread popped up, earlier tonight I removed the barrel to see how difficult it would be to machine up a barrel adapter. Im thinking I could convert the DW to use the FX barrels I have on hand. It looks doable but im not sure about the chronograph. I don't use it much, but it would bug me if I couldn't figure out how to add it.
