bigHun and Glem.Chally, I agree with both of you. What do you stand to gain for so much work? I only was offering a suggestion for a solution for Jkings problem of probe depth.

I have been told from FX that there is no new designed pellet probe in the new Impact MK2 with power plenum.
This story sounds like another rumor.
Sorry if I made a confusion, I don't know this is a first time I have the probe in my hands, maybe it is a language only how people earlier called it "a hole".
My question was based on somebody sad earlier about a dimension "5.0x7.2 elongated", but what I see is, my probe have an opening width of 5.85 which is actually not a hole (just look like a hole) but cut-in from the side that looks like a "V" shape. Maybe it is just a perspective from which side you looking in to it, take a look the pictures taken from two angles (like a top view and front view).
Without having a brass piece in my hands I don't see a reason "elongating" or making it wider/longer because the limit is the probe-tube ID 5.15 and that is the "area" the air must go through. Midnight at my place, piece and quiet in the house, feels like a perfect time to take the Impact apart - for first time
...I am talking about my own modifications here, not the impact in stock form (As "stock" isn't in my dictionary )...there is little wrong with the flow of my probe ...By the way, I haven't noticed any blow by between probe and barrel inlet.

Weatherby, I am with you
For the most fps performance - also consistency - a seal shall be in place. But we all know no matter how to design it (and maybe million ways to do) that sealing would be a most HIGH MAINTENANCE and cost effective solution on the gun...want to save time = no bueno, want to save money = no bueno...
I cannot think of any solution but to replace a seal after every some 100 shots (or around a number), but that would lead to any kind of complains especially from non educated (we cannot afford any affairs with customers, right?). Even if you buy a 7 $ figure Ferrari some maintenance shall be done to keep it up to a level.
I think there is little wrong with probe o-rings, I almost never have issues with them.
I apply a light coat of silicon oil on the probe every now and then to lube the o-ring, it will sure last long.
A good quality o-ring will last a long time. Viton or even better, PU.
Uhm, what you mean by "probe orings" ? any picture? because I have no oring on the probe, metal to metal in between the probe and brass port.

When I measure last night the barrel -brass end port I noticed a diameter difference inside the hole (from the edge starts with ID 6.67x3.22 and then transfers to smaller ID 6.45 that could be a pilot hole for the probe transfer port) that didn't make any sense to me why that would be needed there, but OH WELL somebody made the design.
I meant the o-ring to seal the probe-barrel connection, regardless which side it is in/on.
And when there is no O-ring in your barrel Inlet, you have most likely found your inconsistency issue There should be one.
and special Thanks to weatherby for the picture above.

It wasn't his picture. Anyway, nice to hear that you found the o-ring.
A little allenkey fell on floor, right beside was a small black oring. Fortunately enough I was wearing my glasses.
I found it !!! That must be the oring weatherby was talking about. A quick look in the FX barrel diagram, the size is correct, must have gotten lost a very first day I was degassing the gun. Lube it and put it back in the probe. What a night...usually I vacuum the floor whenever I finish some hobby project, this oring would be gone for sure and I would never figure out what you people talked about.
I need to apologize to all folks I made them tinker too much about back-blowing air, and special Thanks to weatherby for the picture above.
Sorry Hande Thanks for the picture and thank you All
Still my Huma parts are in the mail somewhere between EU and CA, what else I can do until I wait? Order some NBR90 orings for stiffer barrel support, still on my list.
Btw forgot....I got myself the extended arca-swiss rail I can clamp the gun to a tripod head instead of using bipods. Replaced it last night and seeing a new problem.
The original FX female quick coupler socket won't reach down there in the hole long enough if I want to refill. I would need to buy somewhere an extended coupler socket or to extend/lift up the male disconnect. Now the problem is that the male fill probe/disconnect have a needle valve inside (one way) and if I use my BSP extending fitting underneath, a very first time I degass the gun that needle will fall inside.
How would you do a workaround?
I have the Saber tac picrail.
No problem here, as the quick connect can be accessed through the trigger guard.
I wonder why you haven't shot it yet as is?
You wouldn't believe, but a stock impact can perform as well
