I needed to clear a pellet or two from my FX barrel. Removed barrel & replaced (hopefully correctly ??) - I can't cock in Fire. I can cock in Safe, switch to Fire and pull the trigger (fire). When I cock in Fire it won't catch. Can anybody help with this problem? Thanks.

My first thought is your "safety" grub screw is out of adjustment just a bit. Plenty of Youtube vids to help you with that no problem. Ernest Rowe will be your best source.

I’m guessing someone has been adjusting the trigger? I’ve seen that before, sometimes they will do it after break in, bring your second stage back a full turn.( Full assumptions of coarse) or call FX, but they are very simple to work on. Just too light and maybe it got cold, that will do it. Good luck

Jayson, can't thank you enough. You we're spot on. I adjusted my trigger pull last week and took it to the range this week. I followed your suggestion and the gun cocked and I dry fired a couple times to be sure. Thanks so much. I'm new to air rifles (as you can tell) and totally hooked. Thanks for getting back to me. Got a suggestion to change my trigger pull. I had adjusted the 2nd stage and when I gave it more travel again it solved the problem. Bob

Got another question for you. Went to the range today, My FPS was higher on the lower power setting than the higher setting. Ever come across that? Tks.
