FX impact Mk3 .177Tuning

The only little nugget I can offer is high pressure and short valve timing.

I thought I had a bad liner and wasn't able to get much accuracy at all until I had the reg up to about 150 and the hammer somewhere in the middle range going about 50 fps too fast, then I turned the valve limiter down to reach desired speed. Once that was sorted it was outstanding!

Sadly, I sold that barrel setup to go down the .22 slug rabbit hole, and here I sit at the bottom of that hole! it works great but it is temperamental and expensive. A .177 Impact is a great combination.

YMMV.

Do you have a chronograph? That is the only way to know the speed of the pellet.

There are cheap chronographs on Amazon for $30 all the way to $1000 for FX's new radar.

Whatever model you use, pellets seem to like speeds between 800 to 900 feet per second.

Enjoy the rabbit hole and good luck!
