Fx Impact MK3 .30 Cal Tune

The guy asked a question. Why don’t you guys either provide some info or be quiet, instead of asking questions back.
My MK2’s reg is set at 145 and it shoots 44.75 gr pellets at 905. With 43.8 gr slugs it would be in the same ballpark. Your results may vary.
Jps- thank you so much I really appreciate the data. I will definitely start at 145 and work from that point. Again thank you so much

If I may - The reason TC made that comment is an M3 is about the most difficult gun to tune - and I'm sure he was in "recollection mode" when he made that comment.
But being this is your starting point into the PCP world you will truly learn a lot- not a bad thing just don't get frustrated There are a lot of M3 tuning videos on the net - some really good ones.- watch 3 or 4

You will defently need a chrono. If you have a newer model impact M3 with the power block and plenum, this somewhat a different animal.
Most likely your first reg is set about 150 - I wouldn't start with a second reg of 145 - that is way too high and its a pain to Degass the gun to lower the reg settings- by the way never lower your reg settings with the gun charged. I would start somewhere around 100 bar second reg- Power wheel 8 and micro 3 and valve out to the 4th line. - you need to understand what the different adjustments do or your just spitting in the wind.
---Have plenty of air on hand LOL---

Good luck - let us know how it goes.

I just purchase a new FX Impact M3 .30 caliber with a slug kit and heavy liner, carbon sleeve. Factor settings 1 reg160,2reg 110. I need to reduce some of my recoil, please help me.
Just a guess but I am thinking your reg setting is much too low for the slug power kit. I have a mk2 that is bone stock and run the reg 110-113 bar to push 44.75 in the 870’s and 880’s fps. The slug power kit has a heavier spring and hammer I think ?? With that combo you are probably just hitting the valve too hard.

One of two choices. If you want to run a low reg pressure and shoot pellets get rid of the slug power kit and return to stock. Or you are going to have to increase the reg pressure and tune the hammer to the desired velocity. This will create a shorter shot cycle with the valve opening less and closing quicker. Should reduce recoil. You may lose a little shot to shot speed consistency but it may feel much better. Just going to have to play with the settings. You could also turn the micro adjuster on the hammer super low and slowly work it up with current settings until the speed plateaus and see if it feels better. Possible you just have way to much hammer right now and lowering it will help.
