Fx impact or wildcat

I have both rifles and I love my Wildcat. It's my go-to rifle for pest control/hunting/plinking/long range. But, the biggest things for me are the overall comfort of the rifle and the magazines of the WC. They are very simple and easy to load. Also, you can load them while they're in the rifle. Theoretically, you could get away with having only 1 mag but, it's always nice to have more. Mags are $40 if I remember correctly vs. $90 Impact. I think they both weigh about the same (.25 cal). The .22 WC is even lighter. If you like a wood stock, you have the option of Walnut or pepper laminate. Both look terrific.
I did a bit of a comparison in this thread. Check out the 4th video down. It's not a direct comparison or head to head, I just go over some dimensions and sound differences. Downside to the WC is the dovetail rail (picatinny upgrade is available) and lack of rail or stud on the bottom of the stock. Here's a thread about that. Upside to the Impact for incredible adjustability, ability to change into a different caliber later on (if you decided to), and picatinny rails all over.

Don't have the Impact, but I do have the Wildcat. It is a keeper and mine is in .22, which IMO is the proper cal for a BP. Once you go to .25 I think most manufacturers of Bullpups haven't done much R&D. Might be wrong but this is what I've read, plus a BP is really for closer ranges where .22 is perfect for just about everything. Go .25 and up it's time for a RAW, Daystate, or FX long barell.

I don't own and never shot an FX Impact, I am sure it is a fine airgun, and up there with the best. What I can tell you is that I am new to Airguns in general. I have purchased 2 PCP air rifles prior to making a decision on a .22 Wildcat. Once the Wildcat came, the other two air rifles were immediately shelved collecting dust.

There is something about it's overall ergonomics that make this my current favorite. It is well built, as it should be. It certainly looks the part. I also think that it may be a game changer from it's design, as it was intended to be a bullpup from the start. Just holding it, having it pressed to my cheek and firmly planted to my chest it just feels right. As mentioned, this particular model is a steal at under 1300.00 US. Look under the hood and read the specs, it has all the right features without going completely overboard.

I was in your shoes before buying my first FX rifle. After waiting for 5 months with a deposit on the impact. I changed my mind and bought the .25 Wildcat instead. For my use it's the better choice. The impact has too many moving parts that's exposed. With my style of hunting it may get damaged or something could fail and put the gun out of business. My WC shoots great out of the box. Being .25 cal it has more than enough power to get the job done on small game. I still tinker with my mrod, prod and other airguns for fun but the Wildcat needs no adjusting. I just grab it when going hunting and know it's going to perform 100% as I expect everytime.

I love my Wildcat .25 & have zero complaints! If I had it to do again, I'd buy another Wildcat .25! It's accurate as hell, quiet (with my Huggett) and looks mean! I topped it off with my Athlon Argos scope & mag holders from Matt247365. It's amazing!

I have both but traded the .25 WC for another impact, here are the things I like about the impact over the WC:

1. Power adjustment that can be fine tuned to the range you need

2. valve adjustment, to adjust the tone, speed and air efficiency

3. larger mag capacity, almost double the WC

4. larger air supply, if your shooting 33g at 875fps you will get around 20-25 shots more over the WC at the same speed, but the WC has to be modified to shoot that high, the impact are all external adjustment to shoot that speed.
in .22 the impact can shoot over 160 shots per fill at 32fpe

5. will accept different air capacity air tube/bottle

6. shorter in length, WC just feels to long for a BP for me

7. external reg pressure adjustment, it will take you about 15 min on the WC, about 5 seconds on the impact.

8.impact just looks way cooler 2 me.

Now the WC:
Out shoot the impact out of the box, if you don't want to adjust anything and just shoot this BP is for you-----> that's ,,,,,said, it's a boring BP for a guy like me that love to adjust/fine tune AG. Just wish it had a 3 way power adjuster.
