That is definitely not the nice hit-man case I have seen in the videos, that pack the rifle in it's take-down configuration, with pockets for all the separate pieces. I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed, including me.

" I signed up in early October and was told that there is a good chance that my order is filled from the first shipment, but surely from the second. Now some are talking about the New Year..etc. I can imagine the agony of those who signed up back in January-March."
This is the kind of BS that is really annoying me! How can I place an order in March and not be in the first shipment, yet AOA is telling you there is a "good chance" your October order will be in first shipment? I don't mind waiting, I just wish FX and AOA would be up front about what is going on!
Are you saying that you will not support FX or AoA because a.) FX hasn't delivered the rifles in the amount of time you expected, or b.) AoA took your deposit and you are upset that they can't sell you a product that they don't have in stock yet, or c.) you're just upset that AoA hasn't sent you regular updates regarding the anticipated arrival of the Impact?"rockymtbiker"Having worked in the quality improvement field for almost 4 decades, I decided long ago that the only way I can truly make a statement on quality is with my pocketbook. I placed my order within 30 minutes of the posting of a price on the AOA site and was given a prospective delivery date of June/July. Of course I've heard nothing (minimal quality standards would dictate regular updates from the manufacturer and distributor). Rifles obviously have arrived and have been distributed by some mysterious process the "good ole boys" at AOA know but are unwilling to share with mere customers. Specs on the rifles being reviewed, like those of the Wildcat, do not match the specs originally posted so that I now have no faith in what I read either from the manufacturer or the distributor. So I cast my vote: I will not be purchasing an FX product now or ever (guess everyone who is in line may now move up a notch), and whenever possible, will purchase future airgun products from another distributor.
The positive side of this whole process (aside from not spending $2000 of my hard-earned dollars) is that I've spent less than half that amount and upgraded two of my current airguns so that they are filling the niches I envisioned for the Impact.
