Thanks for the review, and I would agree with many of your ratings. Quality of the rifle seems excellent, but for some reason, whenever I take it out of the case, I'm afraid to "use" it. I'm a former Army 11B, so I'm a little harder on gear than most, I would say. I just purchased an Edgun R5M as I was looking for something a bit more robust. I don't think this rifle is frail, but I'm also trying not to handle it any harder than I have to. Do any of your guys bring yours into the field? I don't bring mine outside my backyard because it doesn't feel like the rifle could take a beating and feels more at home on a bench.
If you guys dont mind I'd like to add my take on the durability of the Impact. I have owned mine for 3 years without even needing a breach O ring. Before I purchased mine I was hesitant as I heard some say they had problems with theirs. After speaking with Daren at AOA who told me (most) problems were user error I bought mine and have been amazed every time i shoot it. As for durability mine has held up well. Other than Ed running his gun over with a SUV most of us that spend $2000.00 on a rifle are reasonably carful and dont abuse them.
Doubt it’ll be as good as the kits being produced now. They claim 60 shots with .30 caliber with a 480cc tank? At what power. Certainly not up to 100fpe.
I posted and then deleted later that day a CAD drawing of this plenum design here on April-25-2019. It was first copied and produced by Michal Osyda in Poland and then by FX.
One other forum member claimed to have seen this design years ago but couldn't offer even the slightest proof. Other forum members do remember my original post. If FX had this design before Aril-25-2019 they would not have retooled for the insignificant 5cc increase of the MKII
I'm glad they produced the design but I'm disappointed that they didn't thank me for my contribution which was all I asked for.
Edosan, excellent review sir! No wonder the rattus you snipe have no chance. Hope you win many Bench Rest events! Good luck.
