Bought rougly a month ago an occasion FX Impact X in Silver color(cal .22, 600mm barrel), one for my favorite to be honest. I had in mind to create a mini project to upgrade it to the newest power block, upgraded magazine system, and took care of the barrel with a Huma High Flow transferport and pin probe. Ofcourse, I removed the old gauges that FX used years ago and changed them for FX/Wika gauges.
I installed the superior liner with a carbon fiber sleeve from FX, it didnt fit 100% from the first time I tried, it went in like half and then stopped. Sanded a bit and it was a snug fit, I guess its the tolerance but I can understand that people might think they fit without tools.
Took the regulator apart, changed all orings and polished it up. Now it doesnt creep anymore!
Everything went fine when installing the powerblock and plenum, except the goddamn tiny o ring on the valverod that didnt want to seal. I dissasembled the Impact like 2 times expecting the oring that was installed from the factory wasnt damaged

The plenum endcap into the block didnt fit either, a known problem by FX with older impacts. Wrote an email to FX Sweden and they send out a replacement part for free, got it 4 days later so I cannot complain.
All the upgrades were costly, yes. But I enjoy the hobby and the tinkering. I think I got something unique for myself to enjoy.
Going to tune it when the weather gets better, all day we got rain here in Belgium sadly but its that time of the year I guess.
