FX fx impact slugs

what would be the heaviest effective slug to use on an m4 with standard barrel that comes with it im aware i can get different barrels with different twist rate for heavy slugs . but was just wondering if anyone has pushed it to limit and still retained good accuracy and what would be the heaviest slugs standard barrel can handle thanks

I spoke for .22 caliber since you didn't specify wich one you want to know about

The FX express train from youtubeville to disappointmentville via slugton seems to be very busy right now. It’s unfortunate that they cut out that stop at pelletvania.

Push it straight to the limit, driver!

I agree…powder burners trying to get as close to what a centerfire can do with a pellet gun.
I love the impact, just dislike what it’s become to represent. It’s the market FX themselves have created

If you need quiet then pellets are your best friend. They tend to operate better at lower velocities than do slugs. They require less air to attain an accurate velocity. Less air equals quieter gun.
Don’t get me wrong, I have several guns I shoot slugs out of. My pellet shooters are quieter.
If you have a situation that requires one of the benefits of slugs then I would stay under 35 gr for a slug weight in a standard liner.

i need quiet

If you want to sling heaviest slugs, it is going to use a lot more air and will certainly bark much louder along with more violent and louder action noise. If you want it quiet and tame, then stick with lower power tune and shoot pellets and lighter slugs.

I'm using a slug liner and running 30gr at 878-882 and I'm having Incredible results. MOA or better grouping out to 100 with a 1:16 slug liner, 30gr .250 Zan slugs. Damn near silent. A little spitball noise. 51fpe.
