I know everyone has their own ways but I do not use the higher reg pressure than necessary for the desired velocity approach. I have found doing that makes the extreme spread suffer. Just my opinion but the best way to run is a nice balance for consistent valve opening. Really tight spreads will tell you where this is. I have found this to be with the hammer tension just a bit below the max velocity you can produce with a given reg pressure. This unfortunately takes a little more effort with the mk2. The micro click tuner on the m3 is so so so much nicer.
