Fx impact valve seat

Hello

I have just received a 6.5 bore valve seat for my impact. I tried to fit it but it won't install fully in the valve housing. I noticed that the oring groove is on the back side. Here are some pictures, Is it machined correctly?

That's the same as the TI 6.5mm one I have looks.

Is it installed in ur gun? If not can double check. Cause I think the oring side should be inside. This one I can't install it this way as delrin on the rod will hit the flat side of the VS.

I havent installed yet. Here's mine, please update thread when you get it figured out as I'll want to install eventually.

Maybe Ernest or Michael (heavy impact) or Edosan will chime in.

Hello, I do not see a problem at first sight with that valve. It can be tapered in 1 side or 2 sides, that doesn't matter much, better in 1 side only since you know there is only 1 way to insert. The tapered side goes against the rod seal, ergo non tapered to the back.

The oring can go there or in the opposite side, both works. (I like opposite better) I have tested all and works.

A picture with the valve hosing will be better, with the vs in, does the vs does not get inside the vh?

It does go all the way when inserted tapered side first. But it doesn't when flat side first, it goes all the way and it stops at the last 5mm ~8mm. I tried pushing it hard with plastic rod but still. Now I went back to my old Ernest made 5.8mm VS.

If it goes one way should go the other way too, the dimensions are the same. If not take the oring out and check it, (meaning put the vs in the vh without the oring) if fits, you might have a too big oring need to change it to a 7x1 , 8x1 or so should work
