FX Impact vs FX Crown conversation with Utah Air Guns

Follow up:

Having the impact more Weaver rails, and been shorter than the crown, for me is the perfect airgun for hunting. Specially at night. I am not really into aftermarket parts (Changing grips, colours, etc) actually I have not change a thing (I like it the way it is), but since my hunting is mainly @ night I need a torch light attached to the impact (I try head torches...is a pain! it must be in the gun), and also need a laser beam for short and fast shooting (2 to 15 meters range, usually rats in trees or rabbits too close to aim with the scope), and if you add an extra magazine holder, I have all the rails in use. So, for me and for night Hunting the Impact is more practical. That is why is important to consider the main use for your airgun. (you can add those to the Crown of course, but drilling that beautiful stock..donno)

I have a Crown 30 and love it. I'm pretty sure I'd love an Impact as well. If you are considering an Impact and are concerned about working on it there are a number of very good videos showing how to disassemble and reassemble one. Steve (AEAC) just did one that was geared toward new users, and of course the Master series by Ernest Rowe. If you are intimidated by what you see, look to a Royale or Boss depending on what caliber you want.

As far as fiddling with it....mine shot so well as received I haven't adjusted anything.
