I agree with the comments that wildcat isn't for bench. While I don't own an Impact but I do own a wildcat BT.5.5 cal. When I compare it to my Dreamline. 177 cal with Saber tactical chassis shooting benchrest. The difference is huge. The dreamline is so stable, needing only slight POI adjustments between shots. Wildcat stock isn't made for that. But it's a fun gun to shoot. The stock is good for hunting.
But with every FX airgun that I have. Tinkering too much with them will give you heartbreak. When I look at the amount of adjustments that you can do on an Impact. I'm sure if it breaks when I tinker too much with it, I'll be having a hard time fixing it.
So, if you like to tinker and sure that you can handle the maintenance of the gun, you might want to consider an Impact. If not, for high powered Wildcat, I would suggest changing the first reg with Huma's. The fx reg max pressure is 160 bar. I set my second reg at 150 bar. So between the first and second reg pressures, the difference is only 10 bar. I set the Huma first reg at 180 Bar. However, although FX says the max reg pressure is 160 bar, in my experience, it's struggling with 150 bar. I had to change the reg o-rings twice due to reg creep which affected my shot to shot consistency.
RTI is coming up with Mora. If you have the budget for an Impact. It might be worth looking into the Mora. My prophet 2 is so much more robust than FXs.
Have fun!
