Dear Members

FX has sent the required replacement regulator for brand new M3 of my country's user at my provided UK based address as per commitment of Johan.

In the meantime Frederick has got me into contact with Andreas of his tech department and he sent a few internal parts of 1st regulator to see if it helps.

I understand if I had mentioned something like my misperception regarding ineffective after sale support by FX, it has no grounds anymore.

I understand that managing such a top of the line big Company requires attention on many other matters as well. That might cause delay sometimes.

I emphasise here that FX is no doubt helping us in my country where there is no dealer available.

I understand that one of my earlier posts went wrong somehow for which I have already tendered my apology openly.

Regards,

Umair Bhaur

Well good for you ..here in India we have to wait for eternity..My gun Fx Impact M3 ( pre power block) is highly inconsistent in terms of velocity and groups. Had it serviced at the dealer who put the old o -rings back as non was available with him. Dealer could not change the faulty regs as replacement parts not available . Now the problem has increased with many bad handling marks on screws and brass piston of first reg etc.. Correspondence is going on for months and still no solution to my problem ( IM3-450306-009-20)

Sorry to hear that.

In fact I myself fix guns for users in my country hence being reasonably in the know, most are fixed without any issues.

I write to FX for only those new guns which have some such issues which can't be fixed without replacement parts.

As far as O rings are concerned, your country's dealer must have them.

FX provides specs of almost all the O rings. So these can be sourced with some effort.

I have helped out a few users of Impact who are in your country. I guide them through WhatsApp discussion.

It’s posts like this, that make it hard for me to steer away from FX when looking to buy the next platform. Wether you do your own service or are dependent on the manufacturer for repairs, customer service is HUGE. I for one cannot rely/depend on the vendor I bought it from in taking care of issues as we all know most of them are not a certified service station, they won’t have all parts in stock, and, yes, they are busy selling stuff. To have the support of a live person and parts diagrams available, is worth the $$ they charge for their guns.

thanks Umair bhai and thanks to this wonderful forum and all the Airgun enthusiasts and experts who are willing to share their experience and learnings and help fellow shooters and tinkers . I also sought your suggestions for barrel indexing for 2 liners few months back on whatsup.

I love my FX impact M3 and I agree that FX issues are mostly of O Rings and repairable . I can repair all my Airguns for minor issues but as this is still under warranty so dont want to give dealer any excuse for rejecting a legitimate case. ( It came back 1 month back from dealer after repairs )

My FX impact M3 is dead accurate for few groups and than the grouping start to widen up as the first reg was acting funny. Yesterday after discussing with the Dealer , I opened up the reg to find the first reg O Ring hard and cracked , also there was a fine cut on the surface of the piston near the center hole . Seems No repair work was done and no O-rings were changed. I polished it and replaced the O - ring along with a few Orings as well, Also have installed new power block upgrade, will test on Sunday how the things go. As of now the first reg is only offset by 7-8 bars in 48 hours.
All these parts have come from US through personal baggage as parts availability is a big issue here in India. The Dealer does not keep a single part ready . we have to source from private parties which is too costly.

Nice to know that you have fixed your M3.

Sorry to hear that dealer is not helping.

I think you can write directly to FX SWEDEN in this scenario explaining all the facts.

I am really thankful to FX. Without their support I really can't help FX users in my country.

And the Borg continue their assimilation. I've found that FX is going all out to provided customer service, I received a box of parts, that they'd already shipped, a couple of more pieces and I'll have a complete gun for free, NOW that is CUSTOMER SERVICE, it'd be nice if they'd assembled it. :ROFLMAO:

Your dealer sounds like mine in Los Angeles. I've found that going direct to FX is way simpler. FX USA has been awesome, must be part of their plan to take over the world.

Tested my FX impact M3 on Sunday, but seems the first regulator is still acting funny. I could not remove it as it was tight using Loctite by dealer during service which is not at all recommended. I avoided putting force as it may damage something ? ( need advice on this ) and simply remove the brass screw and polished it and changed the O ring.
The first regulator is filling very slowly (set at 150 ) , after shooting , it fill upto 125 quickly and than starts to move very slowly ( like 15-20 seconds) and come to 140 bar, than a sudden change to 145 , 5-8 second wait and again changes suddenly to 150.. these last two pressure surge strange.
The fps is varying from 880 to 960 which is very well justified looking to the regulator. seems something is not right in pressure reducing system.
Any advice..

Agreed. The 1st regulator should not be lock tightened.

For the rest of issues, you need to replace all O rings, enlarge the air hole in the piston a bit, polish cup washers and things should be improved.
