I avoided the Impact like a plague since it came out. I did have a Royale and a Boss as well as some early FX guns and all were great, but the Impact just worried me with some of the horror stories.
I finally broke down and traded for an Impact this year. Then I sold a couple guns and picked up an Impact Compact .25... then a Maverick .30.. sold some more and now have an Impact .35.
So the issue? I'm running out of shipping boxes for other guns!
I wont say I'm a fan boy, but I have to admit I really do like the Impacts. I'm leery of tearing into one for some reason. I've resealed guns for years, but I think should I need it, I'll just have someone more knowledgeable than me do the work. I've sold more airguns this past year alone than I have my entire time in airgunning. ...and I've not missed them. I still have a boatload of guns that I swore I'd never sell and I'm slowly breaking down and getting rid of them. These Impacts (and my Maverick) has done me well so far.
I've not had to deal with customer support from FX yet, but thankfully there are enough folks out there knowledgeable on them that I may not need to.
