FX FX King stock finish

I've just bought a used GRS King stock, and was wondering what the finish is and how to care for it.

GRS had an oil to use on their stocks ..not sure if still available, but just seemes to be boiled linseed oil/mineral spirits and a varnish mixed together
Some have said to wiped down lightly with Ballistol or true oil..but that might make it too shiney, an antique oil finish would be less glossy
There was also the suggestion to use Renaissance wax

I have the crown in a grs stock. I contacted grs, they told me it is just danish oil. I bought some and used it on mine. Works just fine.
