FX LOTHAR WALTHER BARRELS ** NOT FOR SALE ***. Just an FYI

Viking airgunner ( On YT ) tried a couple of LW barrels on his impact, not a success at all, but speaking to him it seem like the people he used to ready those blanks, pretty clueless.

Now i am a machinist myself, but i will have to admit a very novice gunsmith.

Also ordered my Two with a 700 mm LW barrel that was supposed to not have a choke, but it did have a choke, along the middle 25% of the barrel, so it did not at all shoot well, the replacement CZ barrel, no inclination of a choke along its 700 mm length, slick as snot on a door knob.

It seem to me that these barrel makers, can not be trusted, which i also think is why FX started to make their own barrels

You for damn sure want a through quality inspection on those blanks when they come into your little airgun making company.
Yeah seeing that and Sub 12 make one for his Panthera sent me into a search for one. I guess consensus is you have to buy multiple FX liners to find one that shoots. I’m sure if the juice was worth the squeeze someone would have been selling solid barrels for the Panthera by now.

I think i am OK inthe FX barrel lottery, the first one was no good, but then the two next ones i got to replace that ( standard and heavy ) both worked great.
Still let down by heavy CUZ it did not make me able to shoot heavy stuff, 13 grain was it but OK the heavy did shoot 16 grain a little better, but still far from good enough.

I am awaiting a barrel revolution in .177. or a governmental / regime change here in Denmark that would allow me to step up to a larger caliber with unnecessary hassel

I have solid barrels on three out of the four FX’s I own. But it helps to set up your shooting range of at least 50 yards right next to your lathe.
