Yes, the JSB 33.95 pellets. I'll get a speed on the Hybrids today. I had them close with my other .25 barrel but not as close as this new barrel. My last barrel was right on horizontally but five moa vertically. Both are Superior liners but obviously this one works quite well.
As soon as I get my butt out of this recliner I'll be checking the speed on the Hybrids.

I have zero concerns about how close the POI is between two projectiles that are so far apart in weight and construction. But it is nice when you are not off the paper at 50 yards. I too need to get off the recliner when I’m done watching supercross qualifying and get down to the shop and machine some stuff for my RTI’s shroud.

I'm the same way. But having the POI the same is a nice benefit. I just got back in from the chrono. Hybrids averaged 988 fps.

That's just the way things work out and can be expected most of the time. Got my M3 just where it's sweet for an indoor shoot comp and the big old HVAC system at the far end, where my bench happened to be, kicked on with a brutal air pressure. Not cool! : )

Recently I updated my FX impact II to the M3 in 700mm. Although my previous Mark II Dubber ed. slugger certainly was amazing for my first pcp, this M3 takes things to a new and fascinating/fun level. I hadn't initially noticed the liners two position options, one pellet & 180 degrees around one for slugs. The dealer, Joe S. at "Idaho Air Gun" suggested leaving the liner in the slug position or larger port position due to my preference for heavier pellets and have found that it shoots both slugs and pellets with near perfect accuracy. And when I say near perfect I mean one click left windage for slugs, that's all. My pellets are the FX .22 in 25.4g and slugs are a locally supplied .22 in 34g. My M3 is topped with the Element Theos in MRAD, thanks to my dear wife this past birthday. (y) Lucky Me.

My point is that I am not one that's inclined to do all the research, adjusting and testing that some of you guys do, and not having the lathes, tools and/or other equipment eliminates absolute damage I may cause. But, reading the interesting technics and material you all share here on Airgun Nation and watching the videos from Ted, Matt and a few others are definitely entertaining and great learning opportunities, which educate me enough to know some basic tuning technics and to understand how to analyze the effects and become a better shooter. Good enough to win the past three local indoor companion shoots and take second in my first outdoor 50yrd and 100yrd shoot!

Basically, using consistent projectiles and techniques, starlings and pigeons have no chance at any distance and the competition shoots are my training range.

Man did I have a day. But it finished with no wind after dark and with no TV or internet, I was able to see what pellets did at 80 yards. The shocker were Hades. I never really had much luck with them being impressive after 50 yards or so. They were shooting quarter size 5 shot groups at 80. I was really happy. That will be my hunting pellet. The 33.95’s while putting along at 820fps were even better. But back to “the day” and no TV or internet.

I’ll start a new paragraph for Revoman. I paused the supercross race because the sun was shining and I wanted to hang a new dusk to dawn light on the telephone pole in my driveway. Long story short, while at 20 feet I heard a weird noise and got a strange sensation. The pole had rotted at the base and was coming down. I dropped the Dewalt and got maybe 3 or 4 steps down the ladder and had to bail. I somehow landed it with no broken bones but my winter car and cable line didn’t fare so well. Called the cable company and nothing will happen until Monday hopefully. Not happy but not mad. It could have been way worse. The car took a direct hit to the pillar and then a bounce to the front fender. Windshield smashed, pillar smashed, mirror exploded and nice dent on top of fender.

Update on pellet testing. I never had this happen before and was tempted to start a topic in the projectile section. I’ve been testing first shot consistency and POI between 30 and 75 yards. Had the wheel at #10 for 920fps. I always had small groups but the groups were going to the right the farther I shot. Checked scope, mounts, the machining I did to make the barrel fit the gun, nothing odd. Was about to give up and though I‘ll just shoot the Hades full throttle on my slug setting. They are going almost 950fps. Gun has been stellar. No more left or right groups as the distance increases. I never heard of anything like this. A pellet going a little too slow drifting horizontally. It’s like my gun was throwing consistent curveballs with them. It’s awesome now and that pellet is gonna wreak havoc on squirrels.

Another week or so of checking first shot speed and POI consistency and I’ll switch back to the slug for it’s long term testing. It will be my 75 yard and beyond projectile.

I switched back to slugs on Feb 8th. Cleaned the barrel and moved the scope a couple clicks at 30 yards and was done. Did some 155, 135 and 115 yard shooting initially to confirm my scope settings jiving with Strelok. For the last week I’ve been letting the gun sit for at least 24 hours then I fire my first shot at a 1.5” spinner at 70 yards then click for the second shot at a 3/4” spinner at 50 yards. And I’ve been doing it at night with NV because of the wind. Gun has been spot on. Haven’t missed the 70 yarder yet and only missed the tiny 50 once. I think this barrel, chosen projectiles and settings are going to be good to go. This barrel is not quite long enough for me to use a 480 tank. The other barrel I started on for this gun will let me use a bigger tank. I’m going to try to get that barrel to shoot a different slug. Maybe next month. Ironically in this picture is my Prophet 2. It’s under the same 24hr sitting and consistency testing that the M3 is going through. The irony is the P2 has a FX barrel in it. Is a RTI more consistent than a M3 when both use a FX barrel? Its looking that way.

CUZ it was only in the 8 grade i stopped writing in capitol letters only, finding out smaller ones was faster, and the only home work they ever got out if me was what i was able to do in class.

Even in my native tounge things like , and . i really have no idea how to place correctly so i just try and strew a few of them out when i am typing.
At least now that happen on the fly, before i would do that as a afterthought.

So while i might rape your language, i swear i will never do that to your children or wife.
