FX M3 .22 - Your Favorite Slug from NSA?

Can't believe I just won the NSA contest here.

One slight problem though, I haven't found the best slug yet for my M3 .22. So far I've only bought some .218 27.5 grain slugs for the M3 and haven't tried any other diameter or weight.

So, what slug shoots best out of your M3 .22 (size and weight)? What barrel are you using?

I have to make up my mind by Monday.

Congrat's on the win!
I won last week and asked the same question for my .25 cal compact. Didn't get much response so I emailed NSA, went with their suggestion. Best I can do for you is a buddy of mine shoots .217 23 grain through his mk2. Hope you get a good response.

Congrats on the win!
Mine likes the 24.8gr .217 Diameter NSA Slugs best. They are close to the JSB 25.39gr pellet weight and work very well at around 980FPS

Think I might have settled for the 31.2 gr .217 slugs.

I also ordered a new 700mm "heavy" barrel liner and CF sleeve last night. I already have a 700cc Alsafe tank and 700mm harmonic balancer shroud, so everything should match up nicely to make an accurate slug thrower.

Well I am not quite using NSA Slugs....
I am Swaging my own using Corbin's die and press..
But it is the same design of his original slugs..... before he moved to Mass Production Equipment!

Right now I am working on Rebated boat-tail design... in the 34grn range...
.217 dia, .460 max OAL length

I have a maverick compact. So that is the 500 mm barrel. I couldn't really find a good slug until I bought a 500 mm heavy liner. Now it shoots .218 20.2 grainers very well. But, I do not get a lot of shots. They leave the barrel at 940 to 950 fps and the 500 cc bottle goes empty quickly. Which actually isn't much of a problem as I do get two magazines of shots. 35 to 40 shots at ground squirrels is plenty. Especially as I only find about 20 to shoot at.

Looks very interesting. I'd love to get a swage some day, but man they are expensive.
