Hi. I have a new FX M3 25 cal. I have shot approximately 140 pellets since new. This morning it suddenly got loud and has an air leak. The leak is coming from what the parts diagram calls the pellet probe. It’s the part that pushes the pellet into the barrel. I loaded a pellet then pulled the side lever back to remove the magazine then closed again. I fired a pellet to see exactly where the leak is. It’s not sealing between the pellet probe and the barrel or power block. I plan to call Donny FL , however, its the weekend and I’ll have to wait. I was hoping someone here could give me an idea of what could have gone wrong. Should I assume that i will be sending it back for warranty or something I should probably just fix ? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like the "O" ring the pellet probe slides into and seals is missing. This can often happen when gun is fired without side-lever fully closed. Look just inside breech, where pellet probe enters, and try see an "O" ring, if just an empty groove, "O" ring is missing. WM

.25 cal breech O-ring is a 6.35 x 1.27 mm or 11/32" x 7/32" NRB 70.
You can find that at Menard's or most hardware stores.
To install you will probably need to take the barrel off so you can get at the breech end. It can be a bit tricky getting it in there.

You guys are awesome. I looked carefully at the breech and saw a groove then looked from the other side and saw 1/2 an o ring. I think I can remove it no problem. I’ll tackle it tomorrow after work if there’s time. Also Menards is walking distance from my house. Thanks a million.

I have had really good luck installing that O-Ring using (of all things) a wooden shop stick. I use the tapered end to lightly push it down to where it 'starts' into the groove on one side, then work it around the circumference a little at a time.
Be sure to silicone lubricate it first.
Works great (at least for me!).

One other thing, heavyweight silicone oil, like used for treadmill exercise machines, and silicone grease, like used by plumbers for lubricating faucet valve stem "O" rings, are ideal for PCP owners. Not great for metal-to-metal lubrication but perfect for keeping "O" rings healthy and happy. WM

Here is my blown out o ring that I got out in about 2 seconds using my 2 dollar harbor freight pick set.also the harbor freight micro tweezer tools to put the new o ring back in. Again Thanks a Billion.
