I am considering a .22 caliber FX Royal 300 for my next PCP purchase but I don't have access to one to handle and try. Without touchy-feely, I hope that some of the FX owners can comment generally on the rifle and specifically on the magazine and its use.
I am used to the HW100 mag which is a solid hunk of metal with no moving parts, by comparison the FX mag looks both delicate and complicated and could be a source of problems. Is the FX mag reliable and robust?
How is the mag for loading - it appears to be a fussy operation. Again I am comparing to my 14-shot HW100 mag which can be loaded in 30-60 seconds.
My last question is about the high scope rings required to clear the mag. Is the stock cheek-piece suitable for the height?
I'd appreciate any comments on the FX Royal rifles. Thanks and Happy New Year!
