FX Maverick 100 Yard Group

Took the Maverick out back to plink with yesterday because of the sunny day. It was a brisk 19 degrees out but felt good in the sun. Started off to shooting for fun but decided to end the day with a 5 shot group. I typically do not shoot for groups but was interested in the performance of the NSA 36.2 gn slugs. I was pushing these at an average of 944 with the hammer spring maxed out and set to 7. The group was shot at 116 yards to be exact at an 8'' steel plate. I am happy with the results and only look forward to getting better

Thank you. I thought of that afterword when I packed everything up. I purchased the dual transfer port so once that is installed I will report back with my results

First reg is set too 170 and the second is at 150. That is pretty much how it came out of the box, I haven't added anything yet.

How different are the groups with the chronograph not hanging on the barrel?

The NSA 36.2's are awesome. Your chucking yours a little hotter than I am ( 907 with an RTI Prophet ) but yeah - holy mackeral are they accurate out @100 ( and probably beyond ).

I will have to check, it didn't dawn on me too shoot without it until I was too cold to continue

That is sick!!! Looks like either the wind or your eye might of move just a little between shots. There is almost no vertical deviation and you got 2 clusters of POI touching. If stars align you might get that magical clover leave at 100meters and a pot of gold under! Awesome shooting!

Here’s what i used with the FX Radar, you can slide the crony forward and back on the CF tube for that perfect positioning even with .357 800mm 12 or 6 oclock mounts on the side picatinny of the impact or maverick.

That is some fine shooting! I think this might be my next rifle. I want something with good long range accuracy. Unfortunately, the wait time seems to be quite long right now.

I received my dual transfer port yesterday and am planning on installing it today. Hopefully if the weather stays nice like it is I can have an update on performance this weekend

Just went out back to test the transfer port. Gained around 20-25 fps. Shooting NSA 36.2 slugs at 965 now
