FX Maverick .25 cold weather performance

Hello guys
Having issue with Maverick shooting at cold weather. We have 10F outside in NY area.
I am still trying to figure out the slug shooting consistency on this gun.
While doing that - the gun having issue keeping the same pressure on the second reg.
The first reg set to 150 and second 120.
I can see the pressure is going down to <100 while the bottle gage is 170..
When I took it home everything went back to normal.
Does anyone has an idea what could cause this?

My Mavericks reg pressure drops some in cold weather then it goes back up to normal indoors. Not enough to affect accuracy. Warm air contracts in the cold. Its closer to 35F here but still can see a slight difference in pressure. Warmer weather is coming.

Or its the piston, like mentioned above, they're easy to replace or work on. 2 stock screws and your ready to take out the regs. After the pressure is bled off of course. Don't forget some airgun grease for reasonably.

Or don't shoot when it's 10° out.

I never had this issue with any of my other guns.. Edguns, Taipan, Cricket..
Tanks vs a remote control airplane. My Impacts are fair weather guns. Why aggravate yourself. A brass piston will help but you are probably going to face other issues affecting your slug tune. Might be best to wait for more pleasant weather when you can take your time and get it right. Then test that tune the following winter and see if it holds up.

Cold air contracts, less pressure. When I go outside to shoot in the cold, especially hunting, I don't cock the gun until I have my quarry in sight. The regs work on pressure not volume so when I cock it the correct psi is loaded up. If you come inside and the gun warms up while cocked you'll notice the opposite, the PSI will be higher. A few dry fires and it settles back to the originally set pressure.
