FX Fx Maverick 600mm, 480cc shot count and energy

Hello guys!

I'm planning to buy an FX Maverick(22), my main problem is the barrel lenght. I would like to shoot slugs but I want a barely compact gun.
So my plan is: FX Maverick VP because this has 600mm barrel, then I buy a 480cc bottle. The price of these will be a almost the same as a Maverick Compact.
(If I know right the VP doesn't come with a case but that's not a big deal for me)

Now I have a Wildcat compact (tube version and huma slug power kit, superior liner) and I'm shooting JSB ko's and HN 25grains very well at 950fps but by shoot count is... let's say a half mag.
I would like to shoot these too and because of the longer barrel and bigger air capacity I want to try 30grains slugs and I would like to install the high power kit for my maverick too.

If anyone has this configuration please let me know some information about shout count and anything about this setup. :D

Well, you may, or may not be in luck. If you head over to the hunting area and look me up, the last video was with my Maverick .22 compact, the ones with the rodents on the logs were 100 yards FX/RMR 22gr slugs. Basically dead stock. I also have a .25 VP that is tuned for well, anything I want to toss in it, either .26gr FX/RMR slugs or 33.96 pellets. Again pretty much dead stock. Pellet ports all the way round and a slug probe, not pin but slug, my theory is more air up to the pellet is good, too much is bad. It works. My .22 gets over 60, but I'm running a fair size bottle, honestly I get bored counting. My .25 is close to the same. Video ranges from 50 yards to 100. I found the link for you. I had a Maverick set up for 22cal 600mm barrel last fall, but I looked and couldn't find where I wrote down the numbers. I will say that you should get way more shots (4x+) more than your wildcat compact. Considering longer barrel, 2 1/2 times the air, higher fill pressure, and 2 regs. If I find where I wrote it down, I will post it for you. I was running NSA's 20.3's at 975fps for squirrel hunting. I don't remember the shot count but it was at least 3 mags +. The 600mm barrel has almost the same power as the 700mm barrel, but not as efficient.

Nice shots!
There is just one problem for me and that is the price. I can get JSB KO's(200p) at about 10euros and hybrids(100p) for about 14 euros.
I saw a video from Ted's Holdover and he sad he can get about 32 shot from his wildcat bt compact with javelin 26grains at 950fps.
Maybe the compact would be enough for me.
Do not, Do not, Don’t….listen or gather done deal advice from anyone on YouTube. It’s best to ask here instead, from folks like Hogkiller(I picked him because he’s a maverick aficionado and is on all maverick related topics offering advice) and other owners of the maverick.

You’ll never ever hear any negative on a product from a you tuber that has ties to the manufacturer. Guaranteed

I also wanted a shorter barrel, but with the power the 600mm delivers as a decent compromise. The only difference is I bought an aftermarket bottle off of Amazon for $150 and bought the valve from FX-USA (R.I.P.) 😥 for around $50. That saved me a few coins. The only difference is I have a .30cal. I get around through just over 4 magazines with 13 rounds per magazine at 90fpe from 260bar to 150bar, shooting 44.5gr FX Hybrids at 940fps.

Thank you, I do not pretend to be an expert on them only because I've made enough mistakes of my own to learn, and fixing others mistakes, like one of the used Mav's I bought that the guy totally hosed and got going thanks to Bigragu assistance. That said, my .25 VP is a tack driver, doesn't matter what pellets 33.95 or Slug, 26gr RMR, good enough out to 125+ yards. The .22 Compact is good enough at the same distances with 22gr RMR/FX slugs or 18.13 pellets. Image is a cork at 100 yards. Technically 3 shots, first knocked it down but no hole, second was a miss third well slightly off center.

I can give you my awesome tune depending on what you decide. YMMV on the outcomes but will get you going.

Oh yeah shot count, you'll be bored before you run out of air. I lose track around 60 on both of mine.
Scopes are Arkens, love them even with old eyes. Top is showing it with a TriggerCam, but I swap between guns.
