FX Maverick for the southpaws

Being a lefty is hard sometimes. Thankfully some companies put out accessories that even the playing field. FX Maverick .25 sniper with Saber Tactical adjustable butt plate and cheek riser. Rifle came Friday, put a tin of FX 34’s through it yesterday to settle it in, today found a decent tune with the swirling 10-15mph tail winds in the rain. Splatter burst is (5) 5 shot groups at 50 yards, 8” gong is (3) 5 shot groups at 100 yards. FX 34’s going 895fps.

Lefty here as well, i have tried to shoot my buddies Maverick and no matter what i do the dang mag creates major issues...
I wish someone would make a mag like the RTI mag that swings both ways in the breech.. That setup is Genius IMO.

My lefty ass swings it over to the opposite side and my wife being a righty can just swing over for her to shoot it.. such a simple thing!!!

The RTI is definitely lefty friendly. My biggest problem with that rifle was the buttstock. A little customization and got mine to fit perfectly

I Like that!

I have the K&L Hook , adjustable on mine but the LOP is still a little short for me...

Can post links to the pieces needed to make that setup on yours?

I made it with miscellaneous hardware and steel I had laying around. I’ll see about putting a parts list together with a close up picture

lefty here with an absolute fine mav .25 sniper 86FPE powerhouse.
no butt add ons, but much involved in the right places !
excellent accuracy at 100yrds and out past for crows and rats at the feeders.
using NSA 38.5 DBHP slugs.

I don’t know how you get on without the ambi cheek rest and getting behind the mag with the stock butt plate. But hey, if it works for you that’s great

I'm right handed but left eye dominant and shoot left handed with my Wildcat BT (Maverick with a different stock), just fine. Yes, the mag is in my face but it's not that bad and I really don't even notice it anymore. Not a big deal. However, I sure hope that future rifles are better at being ambidextrous, like they did with the Panthera for example.

For the most part any traditional rifle layout will work fine for us lefty shooters. Or non bull pup I should say, unless set up with a right handed comb. Coming from a springer background the TX200 is a perfect example. Lefty or righty. I have a Crown and it’s an absolute pleasure to shoulder. My 1st PCP was an RTI Prophet so the msg flips nicely to the other side. But I also like a long LOP so pushing the butt stock back makes things more comfortable for me. I know we’re all built different and it’s good we can all find options to enjoy this sport of ours
