I have the Maverick Sniper in .22 with the slug power kit installed. Any suggestions on a tune for those slugs? I have tried just about everything and I can’t seem to get them to shoot well at longer distances. I know they are more capable than what results I have been getting. Thank you!

I had them shooting great before hand, that's why I was trying to get them to be even better. I am shooting them right around 940fps at the moment.

Make sure you aren't putting too much air behind them. HUH???? Yep, too much air out the muzzle destabilizes the slug. I got this from Matt Gruber (sp??). Start backing off the HSA in little tiny increments to find the sweet spot, I'm thinking your speeds are too low but you may be maxed out. Try a lighter slug, more speed and close to the same FPE, likely better stability in the process. Been there, done that.

I’ve had them shooting great before at around 970-980. I ran out of slugs and had to use a different projectile. Maybe I just need to spend some more time tuning

I had noticed with the H&N's, batches made in 2023 to current, shoot better then the ones from 2022. Maybe you got the 1st runs.

In my experience compared to other slugs, they don't always shoot accurately at top speed. I have a lot of them but shoot JSB's and NSA slugs all the time now.

On back of the tins are date codes. I had both batches, but now it's starting to look like the 1st runs are drying up, but still possible.
