Hi guys,
At this moment, I have topped off my .22 compact FX Maverick with a Vortex Venom 5x25-56 with approx. 9.4 cm or 3.6" of eye relief.
I find that with the original rail and the forward most mount's crossbolt placed in the second slit of the rail, my head not being on the cheek rest as comfortable as I would like.
For my preference I would ideally need an additional 3 cm or 1.2" additional forward placement of the optic to be comfortable.
The thing is, that I am not able to place the optic any more forward in the mounts to prevent the turrent housing getting too close to the mount.
Also, (think) I cannot move the forward mount any more foward, since the mount then will be over the slanted part of the rail forward face.
I did order a cantilever mount to hopefully get me the additional space I need, otherwise the ST TRS rail is the next option.
Anyway, Do other people run in to this issue as well?
Any tips?
