FX Maverick with iron sight

Guys,
Last night installed an iron sight (cheap though) on my Maverick for a trial run. 10yard targeting and it was a disaster. I think I should mount the front sight at barrel’s front, though wanted not to to avoid barrel harmonics changing. Maverick seems better for red dot and scope only!

Since the current result is not satisfactory, why not try it on the front? Having a longer sightline will surely improve things and maybe harmonics are not negatively impacted…

Need to find a shotgun tube picatinny rail attachment and see if the shroud is the same diameter so you can get the front sight further out and the same height as the rear sight. May be pretty difficult or a new rear sight with a lot of elevation adjustment much like an A2 sight.
