Yes, same place the fx rings are made but stronger.
EDIT: FX says they're made in Sweden.

Scope-mounting jigs that register against flat features of the gun/rail and scope body are subject to several sources of error. They rely on the perfectness of manufacturing tolerances that may or may not be adequately controlled. What matters is not these exterior features but instead the alignment of the reticle to the bore. For proper alignment with no special tools, use a mirror.

10-4, I follow you now. In my line of work, the ME’s usually relate these sorts of failures to material defects like porosity, improper tempering, etc. Unless of course it’s the result of a bad or marginal design, which to my semi-trained eye appears to be the case with the FX design. Small bearing surface of the socket head cap screw and counterbored clamping plate. Thank goodness they spec’d in a grade 12.9 fastener...wouldn’t want those threads shearing off in the aluminum scope base now would we?

Btw I am swapping scopes on my L2 in between LPVO and Nikko there and back several times a week.
And I am finger tightening only = holding the allenkey at a short leg and tightening between two fingers, the pointer and the thumb.
Looks like ME's shall give some training how many Nm is a fingertight
....... 4-5 Nm you tighten your bicycle seat post just FYI ....

Figured as much. I for one will continue to buy what ever I possibly can from other countries. Why would I give my money to a communist country making it richer....just because it cost less?

As stated, "I for one will continue to buy what ever I possibly can from other countries." I didn't state that I buy EVERYTHING from other countries, however the bulk of what I buy is NOT from China.
Not trying to be political, just making a statement. I prefer to keep my USA neighbors working and making a living if at all possible. That's all.

At thirteen dollars and change plus tax delivered to your door I don't think we'll be funding much for the sleeping dragon.
I prefer to support my own country as well but when we buy these chinese made rings the people in our country earning a living at Amazon, UPS, FedEx, USPS.... make far more profit from it than the chinese.
I find it weird that you make such a stink about this one item when you've purchased lots of other chinese made goods that turned a good profit for them.

Well, that's one set of rings at $13 and change. There are many more bought than a single set. Poor example. As far as delivery, it'll still get delivered by that same group, keeping that money here.
I don't make a big stink about many things, buying from a communist country is one at the forefront for me. Yes, I do have some made in China products, but ONLY if I cannot procure them elsewhere. I don't mind paying a few more dollars if it keeps my money flowing to an American Democracy at work.
No need to get fired up on this issue, it's just me, my preference to spend my money as I see fit. I see fit to spend the bulk of my money here if at all possible.
Your great idea isn't so great to me, I'd still be supporting something that I don't want to support. You can spend your money as you see fit. Win, win.
