my understanding is that Daystate does the same with the Huntsman Revere and possibly others as well.

I understand, but don't agree with the premise. The same standard/logic does not apply to most other industries, so why FX or any other brand?

While I agree whole heartily but have you guys seen daystate or other mag prices? Even crap AEA mags are demanding 45 bucks? WTF?

I can only speak on my purchase that's why I specifically named dropped. I have purchased multiple fx airguns over 10y and never 2 mags. You would think with these 580/480cc bottles getting over a hundred shots you would need more then 1 mag! I'm one who shoots alot not a dust collector

Lot's of guns come with one mag, some with 1/3 of the capacity of some of the FX's. Not an issue to me, as long as it is made clear before purchase what I will receive, and that's what I get.

I've always wondered why a single shot tray is rarely included with any new gun, but that's just me. I am pretty sure if one spends any time researching a $1300+ purchase, they will find the number of magazines included is rarely kept secret.

And, and, the bully had an anti double load feature!
Now if a low mid price can include that feature, why cannot the top shelf guns do the same? If my top tier guns had that one feature, I’d be more apt to let someone else shoot my guns without having to baby sit them

Any extra magazines I've needed I found on Ebay. Just looked & found this. I never had problems with any of them. Certainly cheaper than OEM mags. This link is NOT for the ones I bought, those are no longer listed but I might give one of these a try if the need arises.
