Talk about FX being over-hyped while holding an Air Force is funny. I listened to the first 2 minutes, but I got burned out on "Word Salads" back in Psychology class years ago.

Who knows, but I for one am waiting for that. First, awaiting the consensus on it delivering on the promises, then I will be there to "help out" one who's life situation changes and they need to unload it. Looking for a purpose built .177 slugger, and my hope is that the Panthera is just that.Should I create a poll?
How long after the first release is shipped, will the first panthera be listed for sale in the classifieds?? One day, one week, two weeks, month…?
To answer the question at the end of your video;
Without even pondering the question the Panthera 10 fold, as a Hunter the Panthera, for my style hunting is a far superior tool then a Crown.

Air, nice, just curious on peoples thoughts more thought provoking than an absolute answer. Thanks for the reply.To answer the question at the end of your video;

Actually for hunting in heavy brush/wooder area ( and that is what I do ) I take the Panthera over the Impact anyday,...anydayIt really depends
- lower power situations crown/Dreamline are sublime
- for tight, heavily brush/wooded areas where a shorter gun is needed then Impact/wildcat BT are sick
- for open areas, where longer shots and high power slugs needed the Panthera would be amazing
- for my little backyard pests the dreamtac compact is just ridiculous
Isn’t it grand we have such amazing options I mean marketing m/hype these days?
Well I'm not so sure on that view ?I don’t get the analysis of “hype/marketing”, while I think jaydog has good intention but I think he missed the fact FX is marketing to rimfire guys, airgun market is VERY saturated and HUGE opportunities lies in the PB/rimfire world. Matt’s video specifically said purposely built for NR22 and PRS trainer rifle. Airgun PRS is niche within a niche that’s within a niche!
Not sure how to make FX “marketing” more clear here……..FX is NOT trying to “market” the Panthera to us airgunners!!!
Cracks me up when all the FX haters spend time to dis FX marketing especially with this gun when FX isn’t even trying to “marketing” to them. Reminds me of when in high school the hot girl in class smiles and wave at you, you waved back but realized she is waving to someone behind you.
Well generally FX is really good at marketing and over hype is real. Their products simply arent revolutionary or superior vs others in anyway. Yet they always make it sound like that and alot of ppl buy it 100%. Im not aware of anything new they have managed to come by outside of those liners that Im not personally fan of.
So does this. Not sure what your point is?View attachment 312506i think that this speaks for itself
Going to explore that .177 barrel TR with JSAR on my Raptor mini.Great strategy! Sadly I don’t like the fact that even the new superior heavy 177 liners only have 1:18 twist rate so if you are dead set on a 177 slugger I would recommend to wait till they come out with a much faster twist rate barrel/liner first! The new 1:18 superior heavy liners seem to be made for the EU sub12 market.
I really hope they have a 1:12 177 barrel for us in Murica one of these years.
FX does not care who buys the rifle or how used ... Just interested in selling air rifles period !!!
It's a Niche rifle used in a part of the sport I'm not interested in. I'm surprised they developed a rifle for that sport as the PRS shooters who use .22 LR I don't think are going to give those up for an Airgun that you have to refill after every stage.
My prediction, this rifle is short lived. We'll just see.
Yep exactly they will show up and be used.... to say they are just for PB bench rest is way too much of a niche segment. My gun range will not allow airguns period for any 22 rimfire tournament shooting !!!! I asked multiple times and they all said nope, must be a rimfire 22....So does this. Not sure what your point is?

Although it’s “purpose built” for NRL-22/PRS, anyone want to bet we see more than one or two shooting 100Y BR at RMAC?
The two things that stand out to me on this gun are the plenum located around the breech end of the barrel, and the short throw high volume valve. We’ll most definitely see that valve on other FX models in the coming year.
Many PB tournaments wont even allow this rifle or similar airguns. The PB guys are bitching up a storm already. I asked many times and was denied access at my range, even thou the 22 lr would crush with my setup.It's a Niche rifle used in a part of the sport I'm not interested in. I'm sure that is their goal. Usually when FX brings out new tech, it ends up in other platforms. I don't shoot matches, but I love to squirrel hunt and I love airguns in general. I'm working on a 100-yard range in my backyard and will have it finished by the spring. So, it will be much easier for me to practice instead of having to go to the range, which is an hour away. Plus, I really think slug accuracy needs to be measured at 100.If it performs at 100 yards like claimed in the campaign, then you will absolutely see them in the big 100 yard money matches next year.
Is this in reference to your .177 Crown?Hello everyone and @jaydog
OK my 2-cents worth. The first thing should be that FX and all of the other manufactures "finish" their current products. What I mean, I love my Crown, BUT it was not and still is not "finished", and if you own one you surely do understand. I am still tuning and adjusting and......, and....., waiting for the rifle to shoot good every time that I shoot it. But it doesn't, yes after almost a year I have pretty well tuned it and I do get some really good scores on targets, but I also get some not so good. How much extra money and time have I spent "fixing" what FX did not! I have shot PB for 50+ years and I have in my gun safe a rifle ( custom ) that less the scope cost me less than 1K, and I can get it right now load up a clip of off the shelf ammo and shoot a MOA 4 out of 5 times. Speaking just for myself, I don't need another "new" gun to spend the next year and a bunch of money trying to fix it.
Happy Holidays to all
