This rifle takes a couple minutes to get back to the set pressure or even get close to the set pressure. I bought a Huma reg and it helped a little bit. Is there a screw too tight somewhere restricting air to the regulator I can check?

The screw is in your head, labeled patience. The delrin disc on the reg needs time to settle (compress) such that it works as an on/off switch, rather than a potentiometer.

You might try degas your rifle.
Unscrew the regulator. Look at the little holes in the large brass section. I had a couple of them that had burrs from the machining process. After I cleaned them out with cutting torch tip cleaners it recovered much better.

It’s weird that two separate regulators are doing the same thing. I’ll try that. What does the brass screw do that is above the front brass plug for a front bottle adapter?

If you pull the regulator go ahead and spend the time to polish your Beeville washers. There is a great post on how to polish your regulator that I followed for both my Crown and Dynamic

Hi, I did the polish, but was still a slow recovery and some creep. Took it apart and used a drop of silicone oil, and this time, it worked correctly. This is on an FX Panthera 700.

I put the huma in my hunter compact and it works flawlessly. All I did was removed the factory fx regulator and installed the huma. No polishing or greasing, it works great. Even sitting 3-4 weeks, it may creep 2-3 bar that’s it. A very fast refill rate. Hopefully you get yours sorted out.
