FX Panthera..... We need the owner's experience, not promotional reviews.

I am of the idea that the direction of the flow of air (coming from behind) could make the experience of shooting really different ( a better flow, less vibration and then better accuracy).

The real experience will need to be shared from real daily users and not from those who are trying to sell it.

Please those who get to own one of those rifles share experience ASAP.

I have no doubt that this gun will be up to the standards of most FX guns, but yeah, until they are in circulation, who really knows.

I do know this. I do like the overall design but even if the positive user reviews start rolling in. I will still wait a year or more for any bugs to show up and be addressed.
Any brand new products in the hands of the public are little more than final testing of those products. I tend to leave that to early adopters.

I personally thought about waiting until I found out how different Panthera supposed to be. I didn’t buy a M3 because it want much different than my MK2 which by now is 80-90% a M3. I loved my crowns but for long range shooting I like to have a bit more power from the Crown platform can provide, Crown is shocking good and powerful giving how little the plenum is.

As much as I do like the idea of stiff barrel I also like the ideal of free floating barrel. With how Panthera barrel is design it’s basically a super bull barrel with tiny bit of free floating barrel at the end, will be interesting for sure.

Well yeahh,....but that goes for every gun, seen my share that where hyped up by manufacturers and never stud up to the hype in real life.

I'm waiting to see reviews from cold weather shooters due to the plenum going around the liner...I'm commonly shooting below 32F for 4-5 months out of the year. Odd things happen when airguns are outside for 4-5 hours in 0 degree weather. Shot a couple matches in below zero weather last winter and have some coming up..."hold together baby!"

Huh. Just fwiw I hunted with my L2 in 20ish degree weather a good bit and never had issues. I would (maybe superstitiously) discharge the first shot into the dirt because of concern with poi shift from temp diff...

Will report as soon as I get mine but no notice of shipping and won’t expect notice of shipping till at earliest next week.

I’ll even go open it up and check out how the new fancy barrel and valve system work!
Do you think they make the barrel change difficult on purpose? I can see that changing the barrel or Caliber would require different plenum diam/ size as well? As the barrel OD - let say 14mm going through the plenum - bigger barrel OD : 17mm would require bigger hole in the plenum etc….

I’ve noticed few pics on their reviews, and also talking about the main body to have different outlets for air supply(bottle ) for different models …
I am awaiting my one in 10days, but can't see any manuals or diagrams as of yet..:/

My curiosity has been peeked about this Panthera arrival. Is a there link or diagram that hints to just what makes it such a new design or revolutionary way of doing something? I get all geeked out with the engineering aspect of about anything mechanical.

Yesterday night I watched a video in YouTube made by FX that explains that the plenum of the Panthera is like a shroud in the first part of the barrel.

So the bottle is in the back and the air travels to the front of the barrel to be storage in the plenum and then goes back to be released at the shot.

It is clear that changing of caliber in this platform is not going to be cherry picking.

The foster can be moved from the back of the rifle to under the main block and also the bottle from the back of the rifle to the front under the barrel and have double bottle.

The rifle has the micro adjustments of the M3.

A real shooting Meccano.

Let's see how it performs and how trouble free it results.
