FX Panthera

In case you haven't noticed theres something "new" from them every 6 months and its a running joke, they finally delivered one of the new things. It is very cool, however, unless it breaks 1100 fps reliably, consistently, and accurately, Ill buy an mk2 like I did over the summer and shoot 1055 fps with 30.5 gr slug and hit 265 yards on a wiffle ball without all the hooplah

However, for hunting this isn't really feasible
I don’t think it’s suppose to be a hunting rifle… lol

Even if i shoot tethered and also just .177, then rifles with a bottle location like that still have me a bit worried.

Seem like air rifles follow the trend of computer graphics cards,,,,, ever more expensive.
The only problem I see with the bottle location is that there is not much room if you wanted more air capacity.

Let’s not look into this too far, and make this gun what it isn’t.
This was obviously purpose built for the prs guys out there. Will it be used for other things like hunting? Of course, but it’s not built for that purpose. Call me an FX fanboy if you won’t, however, I won’t be owning one of these, purely because I hunt. I don’t shoot prs, or plan on it in the near future. We wi be seeing a lot more of this from manufacturers moving forward. Purpose built rugs, for certain jobs.
I say well done FX for listening to your customer base, and buidling something a lot of guys have wanted for quite some time.

I agree it's genius. Dedicated slug gun designed for long range... this is something that a lot of folks seem to want. Not my cup of tea, but there is a whole subculture of folks who enjoy this. I wish other manufacturers would listen to their customers and make adjustments/products as such.
Spot on! PRS (Presicion Rifle Shooting) is a hot new competition. It was popular at RMAC, and will only get more popular as more people learn about it.
Is it for everyone? No! Is it fun? Yes!
The PANTHERA is designed for a specific discipline of shooting. If they would watch our videos on it, they'd understand this is a BEAST, but for a particular type of competition that only requires a specific number of shots, and prefer the bottle in the back, as it would be damaged if it was in the front.

This is gooooooood lol , :ROFLMAO:

It seems as if they went back to single regulator which does actually look like a plus,
really just a reshaped mk2 with a new amp reg mixed with an edgun and a prophet?

Edit: I can see this all making tons of sense for PRS , I just think theres going to be some imaginary dreaming going on of hunting animals at 300 yards now but to each their own

If you want to get in the weeds about it being a “new gun” I would say the only new gun in the industry for the past 5 years was the leshiy 2. All manufactures just hobble together bits of their current models to create a “new one”. Novel ideas are far and few between.

Defently an important step in the good direction in order to gain a long distance hunting rifle.

I am of the idea that we need more shots per fil and a. 30 Cal that can be used to hunt middle size game at 200-250 yards.

The is no need to make it look so horrible.
It only looks "horrible" if it doesn't match your category of use lol. to the PRS world, this is beautiful lol . anyway, I am curious how many shots do you need to hunt with on the 30?

Yeah it's just like all the other guns with the plenum around the barrel. Spot on.

I love this, lol let's build something for a specific market doing a specific thing but

Let's advertise 90 shots with A but advertise FPE with B

Notwithbstanding during a hunt you do not normally shot a lot, it always give confidence that, if you want, you can shot to a target without being worried of running out of air.

40 shots per fill and up shots per fill is good.

70 shots per fill as the Vulcan 3 700 in. 30 Cal gives, is perfect.

Why would you be worried about this one specifically
I worry about all of them, not hating on FX or this particular gun, and as i said i shoot at the bench connected to a huge bottle and .177 so really not a issue.
I would never go hunting, but i might go pesting but even here 90 shots or whatever should do just fine i would say.
If not after shooting 90 rats i think a break are in order, so can do that while refilling.
