Whatever was in there was hard. Black. And it came off like epoxy does any time I've had to file any before.... Can only guess, but that's what it seemed like to me. The forward barrel oring was shot. Forward barrel set screw hole had a pretty large bur, so got rid of that as well. Need to get back in there and check the other hole better, but I think it was good. Maybe a poor or lazy attempt to seal the front of the barrel? IDK. I'll work on it some more another day. Report was the gun was down on power after FX re-sealed it. Maybe that was due to the misaligned port. Honestly don't know if they even removed the barrel. I would assume a "re-seal" would include every seal on and in the gun, but I've made the mistake of trusting other's work plenty of times. The oring inside for the probe seems to be pretty used. Need to get a better light on it at a later date. Didn't have all my tools, nor a lot of time. I'll massage the ports some and get all the seals fresh, and that'll be about it. Doing some work on the trigger as well since I incresed the trigger blade leverage when I relocated it more forward on the trigger bar in order to fit an old stock. Seems the only way to adjust break weight is by installing a stiffer or weaker spring under the bar at the rear. Honestly don't know anything about this trigger system, but testing seems to indicate this to be the case. Was breaking far too lightly after the blade was moved. Pulled another spring out of my spare bits, and seems to be about right now. One in it was cut at some prior date.
