I have a Royale 400, and it is one of my favorite rifles, simple, dependable, accurate, never needs cleaning. The original FX reg was not good, but I replaced it with a Huma, haven't touched it since. I replaced the trigger with the Boss match trigger, which is an improvement, although the standard trigger is satisfactory. The match trigger operates with levers, rather than the spring-and-ball setup of the standard trigger, which I just found weird. That said, the standard trigger gave no problems. I tried a Crown, but found the barrel liner/sleeve/shroud assembly gave problems in maintaining consistent POI, and the externally adjustable reg is not something I need. It seems the new FX line is focused on tinkering. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's just not something I value in an air rifle. I want simple, dependable accuracy. As such, the Royale/Boss platform is the only FX rifle that I have any interest in owning.
