Pin probe works best with the double TP with center bridge the pin is directly under the bridge to hide from the flow. This DTP has the 25degree nozzle design to increase flow.

Yes, We made the install video. Installing the pin probe is easy but installing the 2 spring spacer/weight Requires a video for the beginners.

If using a mag, there is a length limit till pin blocks the mag entrance, if your single loading slugs you can excised the length but not with a single shot tray.

Why could this be used for pellets? I've had other rifles using a probe pin and they worked fine.

Good news with these kits. I just got mine in a few mins ago. After opening it up and looking at all the parts, it does come with a 30 cal sleeve. So it will work with .22, .25 and .30. So Pyramydair description isn't exactly right. Too bad they are all sold out now.

Just place my order. Total price with shipping and tax was $54. I hope its worth the money. I'm hoping it will increase my fps of mk2 heavy by at least 50fps or imma be disappointed. They claim in 25 cal it will boost at least 50 to 80 fps.

I assume they mean over a stock unmodified port. Id believe that, over a modified round port and probe i highly doubt it.

Ok I just swapped out the stock probe on my 30 cal Impact with the new slug probe. That is all I did so far. It didn't change the FPS at all.

Hmm such a waste of money then. Yesterday they list the 30 cal to have about 50fps. Now they removed it from the site. Lmao. I wonder why. If you look at the site. They only list it for the .22 and .25 now.

For some reason they never said it would work for the 30 cal. But after receiving my kit I found it had the sleeve for the 30 as well. I never added the hammer weight or lighter valve spring to mine. I was only testing the probe. If you use the hammer weight and lighter valve spring, which I will when I get a chance to install it, you can up the reg pressure to make more power.

Its perhaps a piece of the mods, this alone won't make gains imo. In combination with ported inlet/hammer weight/plenum/lighter return spring will see some gains over a stock probe.

Soon, samples tested .22 and .25 tested sat .30 need oring groove deeper, I would think another 2-3 weeks. .22 and .25 have low power TP on other side to drop speed 200FPS+ it’s great to set power to 12FPE without adjusting reg or HS preload just pull barrel out 1/3” then rotate barrel 180degree push and align. When your gun is set at high power its time consuming to lower speed and I don’t want to mess with my perfect settings. Plus you can request a custom low power size TP To match your ammo speed.

I just installed the rest of the kit in my 30 cal with the power plenum. Only thing is i could only use one washer on the hammer. If I used both the gun would not cock. Before I couldn't turn the reg past 140. I was getting 913 fps with 50gr slugs. Now I turned the reg up to 170 and am getting 1038fps with the slugs. So this kit is definitely worth getting.

The washers fit over the hammer, because of that they can only go on the one end of the spring.

There is in my opinion also a possible downside to all mods that come up that could potentially make a user lower his reg setting. Especially the shorter barrels do need a higher reg setting in certain circumstances for a short burst of air release in order to avoid turbulence behind the projectile when leaving the barrel. So using the bigger transferport , powerplenum , pinprobe and such should in my opinion be used with a certain caution when one believes the lower his reg setting the better and uses these tools to only achieve lower reg setting. In case you use these “ turbo mods” to shoot heavier projectiles or just faster things are not so critical I guess. By no means I am an expert like Ernest but I think I have learnt by reading and watching a lot on the internet using my common sense. Maybe I am totally wrong here but also confident that people who know better in that case will comment .

I agree. There is no point setting up for high power if you aren't going to use it. Ernest's high/low transfer ports do solve that problem by allowing a high power tuned gun to be lowered just by spinning the barrel 180*. My current Impact is always going to be tuned for high power, so it'll be getting all the goodies. Might get a Compact for low power some day.
